Losing the #1 player in the state blows, but its a Safety people..

Louisiana produces safeties like crazy. Sure, probably one of the most talented players to come out of the state in a good while..but its at a position that we should not be over reacting about.
In my HONEST opinion, if our LB recruiting wouldn't be how it looks right now, Denzell Devall is a bigger loss.
Good luck to Landon Collins, but we'll find another player who will fit in where he doesn't want to..and he will succeed

Agreed..it was a Safety... high profile RB, all word LB, or someone on the defensive line..I would be a lot more upset.

Reid and Loston will be starting the next two years with Vinson backing them up. I can handle that.

I said the same exact thing and chicken must not have liked the way I said it.....but anyway I would take two to three linebackers over him at this time, plus we got Gunner!

He would have been a good addition to the purp and gold, but I have full faith in Cooper and Chavis. The team will be good without him. I'll take our badass, award winning, 3 and 4 star recruits

Well said. Yes, it sucks, it sucks ALOT, and I don't think anybody would disagree. But games are won in the trenches. Ill trade a La'el Collins or Toshiro Davis type recruit for a safety recruit any day. Same thing for players already on college rosters. Id rather have a Michael Brockers, Sam Montgomery, or Chris Faulk type player than the best safety in college football because games or won in trenches. That being said Landon Collins is an excellent recruit and I hope momma( along with Reid, Dwayne, and Debo) convinces him to change his mind. NSD is a ways a way still.
