Well, the world won't come to an end if LC goes to Bama. Coach Miles will take the spot held for him and bring in another championship caliber player. I really don't understand, though, any Louisiana native wanting to play anywhere other than LSU....

This publicity stunt has been in the works for at least a month.

As much of a talent he was probably best to be done with the drama - not Les' deal...

It's over. Just move on. The quicker everyone accepts that Saban owns Miles in recruiting the better.

Saban was ALL over Gunner Kiel for over 1/2 a year right up until he committed to Indiana and look where he is going now!! You're dead wrong about Saban owning Miles in recruiting!

If the kid wants to go to bama with his girlfriend so be it. Good for him. I might have done the same thing. That being said,, I would not be surprised at all if this isnt over

Uh what? Only saw the girlfriend in red. I think everyone else tried to wear neutral to keep it a surprise but I think they all ended up surprised because mom sure as hell didn't see it coming. How do you not prepare her for that ahead of time especially if you know she is an LSU diehard. Pretty hard pill for her to swallow without notice.

Does living in New Orleans mean you dont live in louisiana. I seriously hope that this young man respects both his parents and that they find peace with each other even if he leaves louisiana. Good luck LC, you played great tonight and you have a bright future no matter where you play ball.

My first impression was that he's asserting his independence by going against momma, not letting her tell him where to go. I hope it's not still over. Who knows how long the relationship with the GF will last.

If you read the Newberg article, Collins said his decision was made two years ago. Loves the coaches, and feels home there. You never know though..

if he loves bama so be it. we gotta move on.
i wonder what Miles and staff are saying right now. Did they see this all along or were they blown away like i was with this announcement. Especially "I felt home more, i just love the coaches and the player i going to be playing with." Wonder what his friends playing for Lsu thing about his statement.
