IF LSU starts slow--

Do they have the firepower to pick it up in the second half?I say yes.

Did you watch the Arkansas and Georgia games?

If we start slow I don't see Alabama taking advantage. They have started slow most every game this year...

they have already proven they can

They will only win 9-6 again.

Both teams will likely start "slow" (assuming you mean on offense).
Both teams have stifling D's. Not likely either is gonna jump out with an offensive onslaught.

I would worry more about a bad start versus a slow start. I know Bama can score, I just do not think easily on a long field. If we turn it over to them on a short field, we got issues. Keep them on a long field, I love our chances to win the game.
Does LSU have the firepower to come from behind say, 14, hell yeah, ask Arkansas and Georgia. One through the air, the other on the ground.

i would say yes. georgia had a good defense and arkansas defense while not good on the line, was very fast in the back 7. they both pretty much did to us early on what we usually do to opponents. 3 and outs and start pushing them backwards with field position. bama is known for being a slow start team all year. the only game i can think of where they went full throttle from start to finish was the auburn game. but auburn sucks balls.

Yes but I'd rather not be behind

IMHO we were flat in the last game. We never had that spurtaneous momentum swing like in the other games, not even after the Reid interception.

Freddie...I agree. This is where you got to love having a guy like Brad Wing. Field position can be huge. Make Bama drive 85-90yds and I like our chances a lot. Especially in the Dome with the crowd noise.

You mean kinda like we have done all fricking year?
Posted on 1/5/12 at 9:04 am to cosmicdingo
not being a debbie downer, but no, not against this team.

Georgia and Arkansas are no comparison to Bama.
In the Ga. and Ark. games...special teams played a huge part in scoring pts.
If we get behind Bama by two touchdowns, like Ark, it will be very difficult. Likewise if we get up by two touchdowns early on them, it will be almost impossible for them to come back.

I think Les played it VERY conservatively. He knew that LSU had a dominant D and the better ST.
Being on the road, with a shaky starting QB and the backup having played only a few snaps per game prior, with Lonergan not starting and only playing because the guard got hurt, etc.
It was smart to just hang around and let ST win the game. It worked.

depends on how slow alabama starts. if we go down 14 i dont think we'll come back. this aint UAG and this aint ARKY.
that's just objectivity.

Or any game this season? We own the second halves this year

IMO, LSU will come out strong now that they know how to beat Bama.TR will be shut down for less rushing yards then last time, so i think they will pass the ball to him more this time.

If jordan chokerson throws for only 30 yards we lose.
