Easy to be all high and mighty when LSU is in the midst of it's most dominant decade in program history.
I can remember when 7 wins and an Independence Bowl bid was outstanding.
Hell, when we were 7-4 and got invited to the Independence Bowl in 1995 I thought LSU should build a statue of Dinardo right then.
The students who bust their arse all offseason and somehow manage to juggle practice and classes every fall for programs outside of the top 10-15 teams deserve to have a showcase game.
That's why I was so thrilled a team like UL and their fans had a chance to experience that this year.
They are all part of this amazing game of college football.
I hope it never changes.
