I'm not talking silly secret playbook stuff but a few plays that we haven't seen this year that we might expect depending on how the game unfolds:

The option pass - we know they've been working on it but they haven't run it yet

Option reverse and/or fake reverse - Depending on how disciplined Bama plays I could see one of these plays

Jet sweep to RS out of the shotgun formation - Haven't seen this run much with Jefferson at the helm but I could see them running it to see if they can set an edge early against Bama

I don't think that all of these plays will necessarily be run but it wouldn't surprise me if they ran one of the 3 early to get Bama thinking.

I'd love to see a little Maryland i at some point before our talent at RB slacks off. We could do so much out of that formation it's ridiculous.

I think most teams in general don't utilize that formation enough

We happen to have good fullbacks and some big tailbacks that can play fullback as well so I'd like to see some of it as well

no. we'll run the ball, run jj to open up some passing plays, and then bring in fresh legs to run in the second half.

same formula as the last 4 weeks. it's the les miles offense. i would be shocked if we threw it more than 15 times.

JJ throws a few WR screens & quick slants. Get those fat LBs winded early.

To your point, there will prob be wrinkles made off of the play option that we haven't seen in a while.

I'd like to see Ware and Hilliard in same backfield......(or insert Ford for either too)

Rollouts to give JJ the run or throw option to half of field......makes decision making easier

As we discussed, the Maryland I is a very versatile formation, plus you could use Hilliard ware and Ford all at the same time or even Blue which is crazy to think about especially in or around the 5 yd line to the goal line

I would like to see us use the HB screen more effectively. I get spoiled watching the Saint's run it so well, but from the few times I can remember seeing the screen run this season (to Ware and Ford) it worked well.

If JJ's release was quicker the HB screen would work more effectively...

Reverse with a pass from Shepard to Peterson right down the middle. Bama's safeties are very aggressive. They won't be able to resist coming up quick on a reverse.

We didn't run it a lot with JL in the game either. Hell a good screen might have taken some of the pressure off of him in the first Bama game.

JJ can run back quick enough to basically throw a jump pass to a RB releasing down field off a block.

I'm not knocking JJ's abilities that's just one area he has never been great at, like swing passes... J Lee has used more screens quick outs and quick passes more effectively that's all I'm saying damn

You don't want your qb running backwards to throw a lob jumpball pass to a RB .... COME ON MAN

You think it would take him more than a half second to set his feet and get over any defender?

I'm not trying to make it a JJ v JL thread. It's just an observation that we don't run the RB screen enough.

QB's roll in the opposite direction of the screen before throwing back to it all the time. It's not a difficult play to run, granted it is difficult to run well if you don't practice it enough.

this was the only thing that was disappointing about the first game. i think if we had been more creative on offense, we would have won in regulation, especially the last few plays of the first half, just my opinion. having said that, miles did precisely what was needed to win.

i certainly hope that in this game, one of the biggest of all time, we don't hold anything back. i think our offense can move and score against them if we surprise them.

i don't think we can start slow like ark and georgia and win.
