Too much on the line to be nervous. If you want to see what happens when you get nervous under pressure, watch the kickers from the bowl games, or the 5th of November.
Nervousness becomes uncertainty becomes weakness becomes failure.
Doubt yourself and you will surely fail, because you have surrendered in the playing field of the mind. Only when much is ventured can much be gained.

ha. this is typical modern jibberish.

some of the best results are achieved based out of fear, desperation, nervousness, etc. It is a motivator, and not necessarily a bad one.

I chuckle every time i hear a young whippersnapper say something along the lines of "doubt yourself and you will surely fail."

What comes first, success or confidence?

fr33manator- What you describe is what happens to me anytime I pull out my 3 or 8 iron. The minute I start thinking about it I look like Tin Cup at the US Open when he first arrived at the driving range.
