The fact that they give lsu a slight edge in talent is very telling.

According to the experts, LSU should win every game because they "out-talent" everyone. It has nothing to do with the coaching ability of Les. Yet Bama has the #1 ranked recruiting class every year. Their arguments are inherently contradictory.

And 3-0 vs. Saban with more than a week to prepare.

On the other side of things? Saban is 1-3 vs. Miles with more than a week to prepare.

When both teams have more than a week to prepare?

Miles is 2-0 vs. Saban.
Saban is 0-2 vs. Miles.

These analysts have no clue what they are talking about. Most of them are just pretty faces to fill up your TV screen.

Miles way, way under rated as a coach, with 2012 BCS win will vault to no. 3 rating!

Does Sports Illustrated expect us to believe that LSU's staff won't see and adjust to the same stuff these 3 unnamed assistants saw on film?

This is my favorite:

quote:

"The extended time to prepare for the game is a huge advantage for Saban," says a coach. "LSU doesn't do anything fancy on defense. They line up and say, 'Beat us.'
no one has yet.

quote:

But Alabama plays an NFL type of scheme. They say, 'Not only will we beat you with our athletes, but we're also going to out-scheme you.' "
this is the gem i think the coaching staff and players would hone in on. "oh, LSU may be as talented, but they're just not as smart as Bama." Basically, they seem to imply that Bama will adjust and fix everything that wasn't working on 11/5, and LSU will not or can not, which is just silly.

Curiously, no mention of obvious tactical errors during the game -- like attempting FG's beyond your kicker's range, or having a RB throw a pass at a critical point.

Think any of these assistant coaches have their eye on Bama's vacant offensive coordinator position?

What the frick does this mean? Honestly, have these fricking people ever watched college football?

CLM' only bowl loss at LSU came on a sloppy field, could have gone either way game against Penn State in what was one of the two worst years of his tenure here.

Every single other bowl game he has had has been double digit wins over quality opponents.

Saban has lost to Utah. Not sure how much time he would have needed to prepare for ULM.

This x 1M. Why the media continually ignores the above FACTS is beyond me. Their conclusion should be just the opposite of what it is.
