you could make this case for the majority of steak houses too .. in most cases you can buy your own cuts of meat and grill them at home every bit as good as most of them do ..

not many people are learned enough to pull that off. and your point is much more applicable to a place like Applebee's where the steak they serve is a cheap piece of shite cut of meat. there's a reason big box chain restaurants draw people in.. cheap prices. it's just too many people are fooled into thinking they are getting a quality product, when in fact they are eating very subpar fare. I promise you Olive Garden isn't minimizing their profits. they're using shite products.
