Some interesting stats on how LSU quarterbacks have performed against SEC competition over the last 25 years...
Number of Times Which an LSU QB Has Played for the Majority of an SEC Game
(postseason games included)
1. Tommy Hodson (1986-89), 25
1. Herb Tyler (1995-98), 25
3. Jamie Howard (1992-95), 23
4. Jordan Jefferson (2008-11), 22
4. JaMarcus Russell (2004-06), 22
6. Josh Booty (1999-2000), 13
7. Matt Mauck (2001-03), 12
8. Jarrett Lee (2008 & 2011), 11
8. Rohan Davey (1999-01), 11
8. Chad Loup (1990-93), 11
11. Matt Flynn (2007), 8
11. Marcus Randall (2002 & 2004), 8
[NOTE: For quarterbacks who have started less than 5 SEC games since 1986, remember Mickey Guidry (1987), Sol Graves (1990), Jesse Daigle (1991-92), Ryan Huffman (1992), Melvin Hill (1994-95), Craig Nall (1998), Rick Clausen (2002), Ryan Perrilloux (2007), and Andrew Hatch (2008), as well as Brad Strohm, who almost got a majority of playing time in the 1991 game against Vanderbilt.]
[NOTE2: For the game against Mississippi State in 2004, all 3 quarterbacks played for less than half of the game. It might be a little unfair to Marcus Randall who left the game in the 2nd quarter with a 27-0 lead, but I excluded that game from the stats below according to my methodology.]
Now consider the PPG scored in regulation by LSU when led by these QBs in those games...
Tommy Hodson, 18-7

2000: 17, 34, 38, 30, 20, 3

Lee, 31.09
Mauck, 30.00
Davey, 27.82
Tyler, 27.16

Put some time into that post

Good post Doc. I would not expect Lee to end up in the top three in ppg but he does.
