I was saying this to my wife last night. Normally 13-3 is good enough to get you the one seed, if not definitely the two. You wouldn't think 13-3 would make you the third best team in your conference. Yeah, yeah, we lost to the Rams but it's the NFL. Everybody loses a few games. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to do it the hard way.

Nah, we are right where we deserve it to be.

IMO, it's bullshite that a 12-4 team has to go on the road to play an 8-8 team in the playoffs, much like we did last year.

No one can compete against the POS NFC West or that 49ers schedule. I haven't seen such a pathetic schedule since the Bears in 06. It's like one team playing in SEC and the other in the Mountain West.

49ers opponents won more games this year than saints opponents lol.

I guess the AFC west must be brutal since everyone there is 8-8 or worse right

13-3 is an awesome record, but its still tied for 2nd in the NFL with 2 other teams.

In 2006 they were 10-6 and got a bye.

yep, worse is an 8-8 or 7-9 team making it while 11-5 or 10-6 teams don't.

Reminds me of the Saints' playoff teams in the late 80s under Mora. Great records, but always wild-cards because of the 49ers.

Hopefully, different outcome this go-around.

The loss at Tampa Bay was also a killer. Go figure, it turned out to be TB's last win of the year.

At least the Saints seem to have learned lessons from those games. We'll see how that applies the next few weeks.

Not bullshite, just the way things worked out this year. Usually, 11-5 is a successful season, 12-4 or better is great and gets you a bye.
Imagine this: both the Tampa and Rams losses were flukes. Imagine having gone 15-1 with a 15 game win streak, and still not be the top seed? Yet that was what would have happened. That's life

Pack lost to KC einstein. We would have had the #1 in that scenario.

lol wut?

First tie breaker is head to head, if the Saints and Packers both finished with the same record, GB gets the better seed.

shite...the saints went 12-3 in 1987 and didnt even win the division...because the fricking 49ers went 13-2.

The 9ers love to push the Saints into the wildcard round.
