I will say this. TERD had it won until he turned on me the wrong way. And your poem about GCS put you over the top. I announced it in the anchored Friday lunch thread. And haven't posted on the O-T since.

some of them could probably move to 690 in NOLA. its basically as shitty or shittier than 1210.

Do they stream 104.5 on the internet? I listen to 1210 everyday while at my computer.

I'm not convinced that we're just hearing weekend programming.

Wow I am glad I made that post...I know known all those guys for along time. It is a shame that it happened so close before the BCS game. You got to think about all the $ that OTT and Buddy had already lined for advertisers for gameday on Monday. I am sure Ott had a live remote already planned and may have been paid already? I have to admit, I own my business and had 1210 on all day. I also admit to really liking Richard Condon. Say what you want about the quality of the Sports content and how much local stuff and talking to friends, etc went on. That is what I liked. It was really the only station with 11 hours of local sports talk we had. Think about how hot those phone lines were all year about the JJ/Jarret Lee situation. I have a business relationship with ppl @ 104.5...I will find out next week. Happy New Year!

That would be the secong time that the sports format did not work on 1210 AM. BAck in the earlies 90's I beleive it was the first sport formatted radio station in New Orleans. THey outbid WWL for the rights to Saints game. Dave Garrett used to call those games on 1210 AM.

I remeber listening to Rene Naddeau and Papa Joe Chavalie on that same station.
that was 1280, and i think their call letters were WODT. i remember they had a local drive-time show w/ kaare johnson and "the analyst" russell proti. that was my first exposure to kaare johnson....oy.

majority of the content was from a national sportstalk network called "sports entertainment network". i think it's now part of the sporting news radio group.

The reason I know something is going on...you cannot get to www.thescore1210.com. You are redirected to iheartradio now. You used to be able to see the webpage, look at the babes of the day, etc.

Yes...they never have gospel programming on 1210. It is Fox Sports when there is not local programming on the weekends. There is also always Fox Sports updates at the top of each hour 24/7. Like I said, it was business as usual when I was out and about last night @ about 11:15. Then when I checked after 1 am...Gospel ever since...

History

AM 1210 was originally a Christian Talk outlet radio station (WBIU) until 1997 when it was acquired by Clear Channel and it switched to a sports talk format. It was an ESPN Radio affiliate until February 2007. It then switched to its current affiliation with Fox Sports Radio.

And he was terrible

For one season, believe it or not, Garret was the PBP man with Jim Henderson doing color
