JJ - we need a 2009 Chick Bowl performance. You are going to end your career on a high note.

Another Nov 5 like performance - 5 of 13 passes for 30 yards is not going to happen, because it will bring us a loss in this game.

I'll be thrilled with 100 yards and no INT's.

He played great against Arkansas. Bama would have zero chance to beat us if he played that well. No need to go back to 2009 to find a suitable performance. His problem has been consistency, though. Plays great one game, then bad the next. However, he's really only played bad once this year. And he's always done well with time to prepare, so...we'll see. 10 more days.

I think your going with Miles.... Lee should be the starting QB. 10000000x better than JJ

What is Miles saying? Our expectations for qb are really low. Is this a good thing or bad? just asking.

We need to be going down field and making plays to open up this game against Bama'a defense. Running wide seemed to work well with Ford and sticking it up the middle with Ware and Hilliard to draw them to the line. Then chuck it deep to Shep or Beckham. Use Randle to keep em busy.

I would hope JJ could come away with over 200 yards through the air. I have high expectations for this team. Hell, they surpased my expectations long ago. I was pulling for 11-1 or so. to the Tigers. We gonna get this.

JJ is a mediocre QB but LSU can win this game with a mediocre QB. It becomes problematic should JJ be less than mediocre.

How can expectations for solid QB play be anything other than low? We've been horrendous since 07'.

I've actually embraced poor QB play. Makes games much easier to watch.

LSU has too many playmakers for Alabama to completely shut them down like last time, being in NO I expect whoever QB's probably JJ to come out swinging especially with his family and friends there!

Its probably more like a sliding scale. Remember those test?? It was graded by what the combined grades of the class were, not measured against a perfect standard! ! That's why next season with Mett actually being able to read a def. and hit receivers in stride, our off. Should be even more productive.

JJ is our best Qb and its not even close, Lee withers on contact and wilted against Alabama.

Not true. JJ and JL's combined stats this year were pretty good. Compare them to the rest of the CFB starters and you might be suprised. They were terrible in '08 and '10 (JJ had a decent '09 season), but it's insulting to both of them to say they've been horrendous this year. That's just not the case.

It'd be nice, but we don't need it

Good Lord, why? It would almost certainly mean we lost the game. Only 2 reasons why we'd throw for that much: 1) we can't run the ball 2) we're behind by a lot and playing catch up. Either scenario is not good.

Now, I'd love to see an efficent 150-175 or so on about 15-20 or something like that. But unless we have a couple of huge downfield plays, I think 200+ likely spells doom.

That's what I was going for. The QB position is not good regardless of how you spin it.
