Dont care to venture much further back. Do you? Say the 90's maybe? How many bowl games did you all make in the 90's?

Fact is no team is here to stay. Coaches leave, players dont pan out, NFL takes all the good ones. NCAA knocks on your door. Recruiting can be tough when you have a guys with offers every where but for your team he may have to sit 2 years to play.
Riding the wave is fun but it will stop eventually.

When Bear died so did the Bama dominance in the SEC. It had been over 15 years since they had a football championship until 09. The swagger Bama fans try to put on just don't work anymore and hasn't for quite a while so stop it. It only makes the rest us laugh.
