My parentals got me a bloodhound puppy for christmas

The reason they got it for me is because my last puppy died from parvo a few weeks ago.

She's 5 weeks old and hasn't had any shots yet. What's the best age to vaccinate her? I've always did them between 6 and 8 weeks, but I remember BB saying something about that being too early??? I'd like to hit it as well as possible in case I still have parvo bugs lurking around here.

I've been going ballistic with the bleach, but it was mostly just to make myself feel better.

I don't have a good pic yet but I'll put one when I get one. Lil girl is sacked out right now.

TIA and merry christmas OBers

Pretty good. We've had a few nice bucks killed and a few nice ones that got away. Several small bucks. We have a hell of a dog pack this year.

I'm not killing shite though

Parvo only NOW.

repeat in two weeks

two weeks after that start 5-1 or 7-1. 4 weeks later repeat and again 4 weeks after that. Rabies at that time.

It's been a while since I was a vet tech, so I don't remember how long parvo hangs around. Keep a close eye on her/him.

Parvo
Our beagle/walker mix got Parvo and it was rough to say the least. Parents spent lots of money to keep her alive

I wasn't aware that you could buy just a parvo vaccine. I'm assuming you can buy it from a feed store just like an 8-1

Sounds good to me. Preciate it

I think I remember my vet telling me that it takes awhile for the vaccine to protect the puppy...

You can get just a parvo.

BB, I'm not sure about much, but I'm positive about this. The be real damn sure, give me a little while and I'll check with my bro in law who is a vet. He'll be here in a minute.
