I haven't watched many but I really liked "The best that never was", "Pony Excess" and the Todd Marinovich one.

E:60 isn't the same things as those docs. It's 30 for 30.

It's about Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic and their relationship during the civil war in Yugoslavia. Really good stuff.

Dont know about that. The U is enjoyable but is very much the most overrated of all of them. It's fun to watch but you really don't learn anything that you didn't already know. The 3 I listed are all very powerful docs.

Alright i'll check it out. I watched the escobar one and I liked it but I really wasn't getting into it because I don't really know the backstory and such.

Well I tend to like docs more when I'm learning new things. I thought the Escobars one was great in the way the director tied in the cultural impacts Pablo E was having on his country and how those eventually impacted the sports world. I also remember hearing about that shooting when I was a kid and was interested to learn more about it.

Yeah I could see how that was awesome for you. I liked the Marcus Dupree one the best because I actually met him before the doc came out. Before that I never really knew anything about him just that he played in the NFL.

Small Potatoes is probably my favorite.

What brings The U down is the revelation that a lot of those guys still see nothing wrong with being thugs. "Yeah, we stole... but you do what you gotta do."

And I have a soft spot for The Band that Would Not Die.

Pony Excess was my favorite, I had no idea how wild and blatant pay for play was back then
