Depends on what you plan on using it for.

Sipping, shooting, or mixing.

The best I've ever tasted is Herradura Anejo. But I'm sure there are a ton of tequillas I've never tried.

Surprisingly I thought cabo was hideous. I do like silver patron and El Milagro .

One of my favorites.

I've tried a good bit of tequilla. The problem is if I'm shooting tequilla, my ability to recall names in the morning isn't top notch, but Cabo Wabo is Sammy Hagar's tequilla and it is very smooth.

All depends.

Shots-Most people like Cuervo or Patron

Sipping-Anything Anejo! Darker the better

I've been drinking Dos Lunas lately. Good for making margaritas or shooting.

I always drank Patron but a friend of mine had me try Don Julio. It's a lot smoother than Patron

I'm still a fan of Chinaco

and FWIW, Cabo Wabo consistently gets rated as one of the worst, and I agree, it's pretty fricking awful

El Mayor is a fine sipping tequila. Costs about $40. Very, very smooth with a bit of a spicy kick near the end.
