Just finished watching the first two episodes of season 1 on Netflix with my wife after reading some good reviews online. I found it interesting and definitely want to continue watching. But my wife doesn't want to. She thinks it is going too slow and is boring.

So question - Is Breaking Bad a show that mostly guys will like? Any of your GFs or wives like it?

I find it can be slow at times especially at the beginning but it pays off when you get to season 4.

I watched the first season with my SO like 4 years ago or something. We liked it together.

True story - A good friend of mine was dating a girl fairly seriously, and he discovered that she had never seen The Godfather. So, they decided to watch the first two Godfather films one weekend night.

Right at the beginning of the movie, when Woltz finds the horse head in his bed, she says, "That's ridiculous. That could never happen in real life!"

My friend broke up with her about ten minutes later.

My wife watched about a season and a half and lost interest. Apparently it's not as intriguing as Teen Mom. I don't blame my wife, I blame the fact that she's a woman. What can you do?

I'm a woman and I love it. But, it did take me a while to sit down and watch it because the premise didn't appeal to me. But, once I watched the first episode, I watched all 4 seasons that week!

I've always viewed BB as a dude show. It doesn't mean women can't like it. Many do, moreso than their bros. But if I had to gender the show, it would def slant towards penis.

try Transformers then.

JK. I could see how it would appeal more to men. It gives me frequent urges to "break bad."

I think part of that is there isn't a strong female character for the first two seasons. It isn't until Skylar starts becoming involved with everything does she begin to not be number #1 on my list of characters I'd like to see die in a fire.
