This thread is full of ignorance.
I would oppose this move in the strongest way possible. There isn't anything wrong with Tiger Stadium, except the proposals for the so called "improvements" (which look like something more appropriate for Six Flags).
Tiger Stadium facilities need improvements, specifically the concourse. The South endzone score board needs to be replaced. And the west upper deck add on needs to be recreated to make it consistent with the original architecture.
I can't imagine that so many people would favor destroying Tiger Stadium and rebuilding it. Alex Box was one thing. The stadium was never great to begin with. But the Tiger Stadium architecture (not counting the upper decks) is impressive. Roman Arches and the beautiful ever green live oaks. The north endzone is one of the great places on campus.

Heck a working play clock would be a welcome change.
