did you notice the size of that Louisiana state Trooper guarding him? That dude is massive. He was looking down at the TWO Georgia state troopers and they looked scared. Did we recruit this guy back in the day? ..Oh, guess that's a recruiting board question. lol

The black state trooper and the white LSU cop with the moustache are attention whores. Watch them during a halftime or postgame interview, they position themselves so where they will be in full view of the camera. They stand there trying to look like hardasses.

The whole "cops with coaches" schtick has gotten a little old. I am waiting for them to put coaches in a pope-mobile and drive them out to midfield for the handshake.

You can't really underestimate the stupid of alot of college football fans.
Those cops are there for a reason.

I guess you never know when some pissed off JL fan is going to try and jump in a take a swing at coach Miles either.

I laughed out loud. This thought crossed my mind before.

They do serve a purpose though.

Following the Ole Miss game my two boys and I were waiting for the team to come from the locker rooms and load the buses. The white cop with the mustache started getting loud with the crowd and yelling at people to move out of the way. He sort of got in a few people's faces. I chuckled to myself thinking that if he kept it up that someone was going to knock his fat arse out! Your not in Louisiana, Dorothy. You have no jurisdiction in Bum Frick, MS.

After the handshake, he always says "We're walking coach."

I'm thinking that's the whole idea of a security detail...positioning themselves and no nonsene.

In case you haven't noticed, fans can become more than a little emotional and have been known to go off the deep end.

ain't that the truth. with society as it is i'm kinda surprised he only has the 2 close by, but i'm quite sure the black state trooper could handle his own.

(that better?)

Agreed. Saw an interview with Bobby Bowden once where the trooper guarding him had to go after a stupid fan trying to do harm to Bowden. You better believe they are there for a reason and in today's crazy times they are surely needed.

shows how bad some of us are jonesing for something or anything LSU football

FWIW I watched the same last night but noticed something different

at halftime, Tracy talked with Petrino. After the interview (which he was not happy about), as he starts walking away you can see Bobby say something under his breath....I swear it looks like he called Tracy a bitch as he was moving on

interview right as halftime ends, she asks about fragile team or something, he gets hot and as he is walking away he said something under his breath....look for it
