I still don't understand.. Why can we never get any credit from ANYONE on the media!?!? It is such bullshite that we have done more than any team in the history of college football, but nobody gives us a chance against shitty teams!! frick the college football media!!
We are in one of the smallest media markets in the country. USC, Texas, Florida, Ohio state etc, have HUGE media markets. Get used to it. I guarantee, behind closed doors, they want no part of the bayou swag

What I find funny is that some LSU fans fail to recognize that Los Angeles is a HUGE media market, while Baton Rouge is small potatoes. SC has built in advantages that LSU doesn't.
except USC's fanbase and alumni are tiny compared to LSU's. And it's not Baton Rouge, it's Louisiana, and the SEC, for that matter.

Was it disrespectful to Florida in 2006 when people thought LSU could beat them at the end of the year?
and by people you mean LSU fans?

btw LSU would destroy USC. yes destroy. this year. easily lock up their receivers, and absolutely shut down their running game.
Yea, because locking down two WR's who hsve over 1,000 yards along with a QB who's the nations eighth most effecient passer while throwing for 3500+ yards is such an easy task.

LSU would shut them down just like Oregon. They talked up Oregon a lot prior to that beatdown also.

Herbie can take USC up the arse!

Threads like this are just made so the LSU fans can demean a USC team\program that they already hate. USC never said they were better than LSU....

This is one of the best defensive secondaries of all time. Absolutely. Their passing offense has been prolific because they are in a shitty conference. USC would get yards but wouldn't score very much.

Really? Show me the numbers and that might make more sense.
The SEC markets don't compare to the PAC 12 markets, and that is, IMHO, the main reason why the PAC 12's TV deal is so much more lucrative than the SEC's.
LA, SEA, DEN, SF/OAK, PHX, are better than HOU (with aTm), NOLA, ATL, etc.

Silly USC fans!

NCAA sanctions are silly. I'm just telling it like it is. I'm totally down for a home and home with LSU. Pat Haden is on record with wanting to play "as many SEC teams as possible" so I know he won't have a problem with it.
Lobby your people to make it happen. There will never be a better opportunity to beat USC in Tiger Stadium (while sanctions are in effect.)
I would relish the chance to play LSU there.

you can spew small market bs all you want but lsu is a national brand...werent the 3 highest rated games this year lsu games?
we would beat usc by at least 14 on their turf and by 3 plus tds anywhere else. ive watched them plenty of times and they cant hold our jock straps this year. like always the media will suck them off.

Jeebus Crust, some of you are thick as pigshit. Again, never said we'd beat you this season. We'd be playing you with one hand tied behind our backs if ever we met within the next few years. But we'd still take our shot at you, and trust me, Woods and Lee would give your All American CB's one helluva time.

That's absolutely retarded. You act like we haven't already played offenses who were better than USC this year and they didn't get 24. USC would be a top 6 team if it werent for their sanctions or their losses?

Nope. But money makes the world go round, and all of these new PAC 12 coaching hires are being funded by that new TV contract with FOX & ESPN.
That's the real reason Slive expanded the SEC into Missouri and Texas. More markets, more revenue.

quote:who? oregon, yes. WVU? Spread attack. Arkansas? Couldn't run the ball. We have not played an offense as complete or dynamic as USC this year. 2 big play deep wr's, 2 good TE's, and a qb that's gonna be starting on a pro team in 3 years or less.

LSU has gotten more positive attention from the media this year than they ever have before.
Herbie is saying what his producers tell him to say and has been discussed in production meetings. L.A. is a huge market and ESPN is just trying to keep college football interest in these markets Amazes me some people don't realize this stuff yet.
