The rule already exists. They are sending a wr to block. Watch the games the wr runs right into the db or lber.

The crossing receivers never come in contact with the defenders. In fact, it is often defenders running into each other that allows the receivers to get open.
Big 12 teams run lots of intricate pick or rub routes and I have never seen it called. It is almost never called unless a receiver actually blocks downfield while the ball is in the air.
It is really the only way our receivers can separate from your secondary. I expect we will see a lot of it.
