Hired a DC that was fired at GT. Bad.
Little Kiffin. No clue.
IMO the hires that a new coach makes are the most important part of his first year and the Preacher isnt wowing me at all.

He is and he was fired from GT a couple of years ago. If youre not good enough for the ACC how are you gonna make it in the SEC?

Yeah - but you still have an upgrade from where you were
just having a professional coaching staff that doesn't throw the players and the institution under the bus should make OM better

If you do a little research you'll feel better about Womack. He was fired from USC because Nix was fired. He was their LB coach and Ellis brought in his own staff. Nothing wrong there. In his two years at GT as DC he had the 5th and 6th defense in the ACC. Johnson wanted to switch to the 3-4, Womack didnt, so they fired him. Now that they have run the 3-4 with a new DC, GT has had the 8th and 9th defense in the ACC over the past two seasons. I'd ignore the who fired who garbage.

Wommack had 4 NFL d-linemen and a safety that is in the NFL. His defense was terrible.

He didnt the next year and dropped from 5th to 6th in the conference. Is your current DC not worse? 5th and 6th > 8th and 9th correct?

Yeah he gave up 407 and 498 against state in his two years. How the hell did he finish in the middle of the ACC with those kind of numbers?
