He just came back from commercial and said it is being reported in Gainsville that Florida has hired former Alabama head coach Mike Shula as their new offensive coordinator. Not sure if this has actually been confirmed though.

There is no confirmation because no one has been hired. I also don't know if Finebaum knows anyone at UF that would tell him shite other than Mr. Twitter.

Having said that, it appears that Shula is being strongly considered. FML

Would hate it for Cam... They have bonded very well...

I actually think he is a good coach and person.

I only expect Barn fans to approve of this hire because of Cam. The rest of you fockers will say it's a bad move. I'm not sure how I feel.

Maybe they will let me phone in plays and Shula can just focus on the 7 step drop with the QB.

Shula is a very capable QB coach.

He sucks as a playcaller though. Hiring him as an OC is a bad move unless you have a HC like Petrino or something.

Is there any chance he's learned a thing or two since Bama? Please say yes. Just a chance is all I'm looking for.

I think it's a bad move, but he could prove us wrong.

Anyway, should be better than fat boy.

Shula would kick Bobo's arse in jello 'rastlin'. FACT

ETA: I have a new strategy. Blast the new coach and hope for him to fail. That way if I'm wrong I still win. If I'm right I agreed with you fockers.

Look out UT we are gunning for the bottom of the barrel.

The problem with Shula at Alabama was always our offensive line. For some reason I can't remember the name of our OL coach during the Shula years (probably subconsciously erased it from my memory for psychological reasons, although I have no issues remembering Chris Capps) but at least at Florida he won't be in control of hiring or firing that guy.

It could be worse I guess. I'd agree with the idea that he's a better QB coach than play caller though.
