It was something that stays with you. I cant say the movie as a whole was outstanding but there were a lot interesting things going on. Fasbender is fearless as an actor. Steve McQueen(cool name) is fearless and honest as a director as well, although I felt there was one extended shot of Carey Mullagan with may
Have been a bit gimicky. Nevertheless the was some really good camera and lighting(or lack of) in a few scenes that I was inpressed with. Mainly a simple scene of Fasbender going for a jog. Of course neither I nor my wife realized it was NC-17 so we were a bit surprised by a few scenes. My advice in a precious thread was don't take mom to see it.

Check out Hunger, McQueen's first film. Not as graphic, nearly as uncomfortable.
