Do we have anyone currently on the team who can run the option at QB next season? It doesn't look like we have anyone coming in who will be able to run it effectively.

I'm not sure we would have beaten Alabama without having that wrinkle in our offense and would hate to lose it.

Anyone else feel the same way?

If he's available for the game, there's a guy named Jordan Jefferson that can run it to the short side.

We needed the option to bet bama bc we didn't have the QB to beat bama.

Mett should be able to run the option pretty well though.

Shep was the #1 QB in the nation running the option. Paul Turner ran the triple option at West Monroe and was as good as I've ever seen at WM.

No offense, but do you actually know anything about LSU Football or the players that we have recruited over the last 3 years? Jerrard Randall? Terrance Magee? Zack Mettenberger maybe? You don't have to be super fast to run the option effectively, just smart and able to make quick decisions.........which is why Jefferson is still unable to run it correctly, often arcing 5 yards behind the LOS and then, when all hope is nearly lost, chucking the ball at Ford 3 yards from the sideline.
