No they aren't. You can't coach measurables. No way can TM7 be a cover corner on the outside and he is too small for safety. So Nicole corners don't get drafted in the early rounds. They are usually udfa

that's a bit of a stretch, but given his newfound return skillz, maybe he can creep into the bottom of the 1st.

I hate when people try to assess the draft stock of someone before the combine. What is TM7's 40, bench press, cone drill etc. Does he work hard? Will he get better and be a guy QB's never throw at? I don't see the same overall make up in TM7 like Peterson or other first round DB's. Ultimately how he stacks up at the combine will be the greatest influence on his draft stock. There have been many great college players that get no looks in the pros.

Even at his size I believe if be runs anywhere in the 4.4s he's a lock for the first round

I think he'll be a nickel back and play lots of special teams. He'll frequently be on the highlight reels, even though he won't be an every down guy. Late second or early third round would be my guess, though I'd love to see him go higher.

I concur with every single word in bold.

I have no idea what he runs the 40 in. His work out in Indy will move him up to high 2 or down to high 4, depending on the 40 time, shuttle times.

the nfl is a league that has said the more you can do the more you will stay on a team. tm7 made himself more money when he played safety when lsu played the hogs. tell me if a guy can play cb,nickelback, safety. along with being able to play on all the speical teams that you wouldn't take a chance on him. tm7 gives a chance to play a lot of different coverage schemes with him on the field.

making a team, contributing to a team, being a starter, having a good/long career, having personal success, ie Pro Bowls/Awards: these are all things that are not the same as being a top 15 draft pick. He will accomplish some of those things. Maybe all of those things. He will not be a top 15 draft pick.

If his play continues, he will be a first round lock when he is eligible

I can't provide anymore reasons that he won't be a top 15 draft pick than reasons for him beinga top 15 draft pick.

My prediction: Not a top 15 draft pick.

+1

He certainly will he staying for his senior year. Thats obvious. His pro stock will not be anywhere near high enough to go out early and the guy obviously loves the game to much to sacrifice a year.

I don't know. Dude will have already racked up several individual awards and hopefully an NC or 2. There was an article on here earlier in the year--before the punt returns were added to his resume--where the writer talked to 5 or so NFL scouts/GMs and they were unanimous that he would go around 20 or so despite his size. The said his measurables could be dealt with, but you just can't teach his ball/playmaking skills. They a rare and a very valuable commodity.

People draft players on D who fly to the ball in late first round all the time. Hell, if Tebow could get drafted in the first round with his skill set at QB, there is no reason TM7 cant based on just his knack at being around the ball.

In a perfect world he would be last pick in the first round to the Saints!
