Had LSU lost to GA, with all other outcomes remaining the same, would OSU then have jumped Bama?
I know it's water under the bridge, but rewatching the SECCG now and GD pointed out how bama fans were pulling for LSU and made me wonder...

If LSU had lost to UGA, I think there would have been a good chance that the voters would have dropped LSU to the 3 spot and voted Bama and OSU over them. I don't know if this would have changed the BCSNC game matchup, I am not that versed on the computer/human poll equations, but it would have been a travesty nonetheless.

they still would have been #1 in the human polls and probably no worse than 2nd in the computers. they would have been in win, lose or draw
