How will the "turf" factor change the dynamic of a LSU/Bama rematch?

This will obviously speed up the game but to whose benefit?

We're built more for speed, Bama's built more for power. I think it'll give us a slight advantage.

Both teams are fast, but LSU is faster - so I'd say it will benefit LSU more.

Clearly, fast fields benefit the faster team. Slower teams are slowed down by faster fields.
That's why Green Bay has a slow team - to maximize their benefit of playing on grass.

The LSU defensive backs go from fantastic to sensational on field turf. None of the slipping you've seen the last few weeks. Mingo and Montgomery will also pick up a half-step on pass plays.

Yes, I did....and I also know that this point has been beat into submission and wonder whether it really needs to be asked again.

We're faster on both sides of the ball. It may help their RBs, particularly TR, but I think we have a slight edge over Bama on a fast track - likewise, I think they would have the advantage on a sloppy field.

Ask yourself "LSU plays PSU on turf in a dome instead of a mud pit in Cap One Bowl, who wins?"
