Why is the SECCG always in Atlanta?

I don't understand why it doesn't move to other venues? Why can't NOLA, Bham, etc. get in the mix?

To keep the ACC out of Atlanta.

I've wondered that myself. Why not alternate year to year with the Georgia Dome & Super Dome?

Or do it like the Pac 12 where the higher ranked team with the better record hosts the game.

Mark my words, within 3 years it will be in Dallas

No
but I bet Jerry Jones would make a push for it since there will be a Texas team in the SEC

With the TAM and Mizzou addition to the SEc this would be a good option for them and the SEC. I'm guessing NOLA and Bham's markets are too small?

You wouldn't want to see LSU play UGA in Tiger Stadium this weekend? Why the hell not?

First few years it was in Birmingham - as I recall attendance wasn't great and the weather never cooperated.

it's in the heart of the southeast. Perfect location for the SOUTHEASTERN conference championship.

True about the weather. Not sure about attendance, Bama was in the first few games so it would surprise me if the game didnt sell out. Plus, who wants to go to Birmingham?
Seriously though, LSU fans cant complain when they get to play the national title game 80 miles from campus every 4 years. :)

The Georgia Dome is a smoking pile of dog sh*t compared to Jerry World.
Jerry Jones will help the SEC figure out a way to make a lot more money in Dallas and it will move. Book it.

Yeah, I don't think B'ham has a "prestigious" enough venue in the decision makers eye's either. Not these days anyway...

b/c the sugar gets the sec champion.
but, i do like the pac12 solution of having the cg in the #1's stadium.
