Georgia's run defense is not what beat Tech.

What beat Ga Tech was the fact that they are 1 dimensional and all Georgia had to do was play the run. Put the CB's in one on one coverage on first and second down, having 9 players in the box. On thrid down, obvious passing down, play zone, and make the tackle.
That's why LSU will be more effective against UGA than was Tech. If UGA puts 9 or even 8 guys in the box, RR and Beckham will have a field day. Georgia's cover corners are not Bama's. In fact that's the weakest part of their defense. Once we loosen up the line of scrimmage with the pass game, the running game will happen.
Everyone is talking up Georgia's defense because of how well they played Tech, and it's like comparing apples and oranges.

That and they have no defense and we're much better than them. It's the same reason bama beat georgia southern.
You can't take ANYTHING away from our game with tech. Not a single thing.

No they're not, everyone knows tech sucks and runs a litte used offense. They're talking up our defense because it's good and has shown as such all year.

This is spot on. Living here in GA and knowing these two teams and watching them both play several times. Guy I work for is a GT alum and we discussed in detail after the game. LSU will get the victory. Book it.

I remember people talking about our D during the 08 season and how bad it was. Then we faced Ga Tech in the Peach Bowl, and they scored like 3 points.
You have to be disciplined to stop it, but you know whats coming.
Point being- I wouldn't be touting a D based on the stoppage of Ga Tech's offense. Goes to show you how weak ACC defenses are.

Heard the same from Arky fans. Who knows what will happen, but if you don't think we can hang 40 on UGA, I think you are mistaken. Its not just the offense that does the scoring.

I will not argue this point and really don't care if we win by 1. Victory is victory and LSU is just the better team. Like I said earlier, living here for the past 17 years, I like UGA, but blood is thicker than water and LSU rolls.

Extremely disciplined. And it's a lot easier to prepare when you have a month as opposed to like 5 days. I think all in all we played well against their defense, especially considering our senior starting DE left the game after the first play and didn't return.

I agree that UGA's "D" is better than Arky's...or I think they are. It's hard to tell because of the level of competition they've played.

Why do yall think we are the same team as arkansas? We have a MUCH better defense than they do. I'm not saying we're going to win or we'll going to hold you to 10 points or something crazy, I'm saying you won't score 6 touchdowns.

You don't know that any more than we know that. You haven't played a team from which to gauge your defense. Your best defensive performance was against Ga Tech last week. Perhaps you do have a good defense, but right now, there's know way to tell.

Tech still ran for 243 and 4.7 yds per carry.

We have a top 10 defense and were #4 at rush defense going into tech. I'd say that's pretty good based on 11 games.
And for as much as people point to the SC game, you can really only pin 17 of those 45 points on our defense. Yes they still count obviously, but it wasn't our defense that let us down. I highly doubt we give yall 4 gift TDs like we did for SC.
Our defense has really only played poorly in 1 game this year and that was the first one. And it was without our starting safety, our starting DT's first game ever, and with a true freshman and a walkon starting at LB.

I actually don't. I think Arkansas was a pass first team with probably the best QB in the SEC. Now, let me be clear that I love Aaron. I think he's great, just think Wilson was a little better. Defensively, UGA is heads and shoulders better than Arkansas IMO. I must say; however, that I do not believe UGA has played the caliber of schedule and a team like LSU. Just my opinion. None of this really matters as this game will be won on the field and you nor I nor any poster on this site will have absolutely any impact on this game. That's why we tee it up. Good luck. It's just our time.
