Don't blame JJ or Lee for LSU's QB struggles during the past 3 years. The numbers speak for themselves.

LSU

2010 Passing Efficiency: #92 117.59
2011 Passing Efficiency: #14 155.57

Net Change: +78

Maryland

2010 Passing Efficiency: #47 134.34
2011 Passing Efficiency: #110 105.82

Net Change: -63

I felt the Gary Crowton SUK deserved it's own thread.

Somebody wrote an article about Crowton when he was hired that he was a one season wonder. That writer was spot on.

It's an Oregon article. I know which one you are talking about. Hallelujah he is out of Eugene.

Danny O'Brien - Sophomore QB, Maryland:

2010 Freshman Season: 192 337 2438 57.0 7.23 71 22 8 13 134.5

Enter Gary Crowton...

2011 Sophomore Season: 150 266 1648 56.4 6.20 69 7 10 7 109.6

The Wizard can go frick himself. He ruins QBs whereever he goes.

After seeing this, I don't blame Les, Lee or JJ for any under achievements over the past 3 seasons. Seriously Crowton sucks.

He only does good if he has a QB who can fit his system. He's not going to take someone random and make them a good QB, but take a Qb that fits the system he runs and he's a decent OC.

How does a freshman QB go from a 22 TD, 8 INT, 134.5 QB rating season his first year to 7 TD, 10 INT, 109.6 QB rating the next?

The answer is Gary-fricking-Crowton.

To be fair, its a completely new coaching staff. Ralph Friedgen is also one of the best offensive minds out there.

Les should have dumped him in 2009. the fact he was allowed to stay on staff for 2010 still pisses me off.

He only does good when he inherits a starting QB on team with the same head coach and offensive philosophy. He was added to the Oregon and LSU staffs with experienced QBs and his 1st year was great with his few add in plays. After that production falls almost every year. What exposed him at Maryland is he was hired by a new head coach and was allowed to put his entire offense in the 1st year. He was quoted as saying he did not run his offense at LSU which is true. Only the crap you dont see anymore was his.

Imagine what JJ would've been without Crowton.
