On rumors affecting Jarrett Lee academically..."Academic issues are certainly very private in my mind. Our guys go through a series of midterms, finals and papers ... If you have a 'C' or a 'B' it is time to pick it up."
So the answer is yes. JL had to spend time studying academics. JJ got to spend time studying football.

Actually I'm the foremost authority in the Tiger Nation on the translation of Miles-speak.
Well then you know Miles answers questions by giving long speeches without ever really answering the question.
With Miles the answers are never as simple as yes or no

We would have liked to get Lee into the game earlier. The issue for me is that we would like to have victory secured.
This pretty much tells you what you need to know. JL won't be coming in until mop up time.

not this shite again

quote:The Ford hit was a legitimate big hit. Once hit, there was nothing much he could have done about it. Lee on the other hand literally handed the ball to the other team the second time.
Miles has a strange philosophy. Lee turns the ball over twice (terrible) and Miles makes the switch and keeps Lee on the bench. Ford fumble sixes to give Arkansas a 2 touchdown lead? Meh, I guess we don't have the running backs to put Ford on the bench.

Miles has always answered conspiratorial questions that have no merit with a quick "no"...he may follow that with a sentence or two. He isn't going to allow a false rumor about a player to persist.

I wish someone would ask Les in the press conferences this question.
"Les, you always say how you would have liked to get certain players in the game earlier, etc... Then why don't you? Are you not the head coach? Do you not have complete autonomy?"
And hear what kind of Les-speak he spouts to that question. My guess is Comic Gold.

Really? Care to take a journey back to LSU @ Alabama 2009? Jefferson medically cleared to go back into the game after being injured, but held himself out. Call bullshite all you want, but this was the echo of people on the sideline...AKA Jordy, etc.
This reason I just stated above, is the reason why I'm not a JJ guy.
Lee had no problem finding his guts that day.
Don't stand there and make the argument that Lee buckles under pressure or can't take the heat because it's not true. If that was the case, he would have folded like a cheap tent in Alabama 2009, Tennessee 2010, Florida 2010, Alabama 2010, and Oregon 2011.
He had a bad game...Period.

The coach doesn't owe anyone outside the program anything in regards to answers about play time.
He is paid to win, not play your favorite players.

Speculation as random and bullshitty as I imagine you accuse people of questioning Lee's academic ineligibility is the reason you are "not a JJ guy."
BTW, to me, saying you are not "a guy" of any of our players is basically like saying you aren't rooting for our team.

but, but, but, general Lee helped to get us where we are today! He only messed up one time! He deserves the right to play! Les just does not respect him!

Final grades won't be posted until after the SECCG so he is eligible past that.
if he passes, he graduates.
as with NCAA Baseball playoffs, he can play in the championship game even if he already graduated.

Don't make generalizations...
I am a HUGE fan of this team, but I am allowed to have my preference as to who plays QB. I don't care what Miles does as long as we win, and I don't care who he plays to get us there.
He doesn't have to give the fans a reason, you are right.
i just have my preference. Plain and simple.
Don't ever question my fandom.

Yeah, I cringe when I hear someone say stupid shite like this. It is big boy football. Fairness and equality whining needs to gtfo.

Who gives a frick???
Les ain't gonna play Lee anyway...
And if we do need a passing QB for the BCSNC just put in Mett (I know it won't happen)

I have no problem going with Jefferson based on his running abilities, when you consider Arkansas was prone to the run. It showed in the Alabama game as their D-line was dominated, and it showed again against us. That's one dimension Lee just didn't provide.

No one is entitled anything and none of us know what Les thinks of JL except Les and JL. Why does it bother you someone thinks JL is better? It wouldn't be a insane thought. Although JJ has played well the last 3 games.

There was no generalization, you explicitly you said you are not a fan of one our players. That's not me generalizing.

I agreed. A preference is different than not being a fan of one of our players.

Then don't say you aren't a fan of our players?
