Finally... Les Miles answers your questions about Lee

On rumors affecting Jarrett Lee academically..."Academic issues are certainly very private in my mind. Our guys go through a series of midterms, finals and papers. The overview is something that each guy has and certainly I have of the team. That is not something I am going to share. I can tell you during this time, well you guys went to college and had to fight like heck, the reality is that this time of year everybody responds and comes back. If you have a 'C' or a 'B' it is time to pick it up. There is no difference with our football team."
On Jarrett Lee - Arkansas Game..."We would have liked to get Lee into the game earlier. The issue for me is that we would like to have victory secured. That is a necessity that I have and that I ensure. We got him in as fast as we could. We would have liked to get him in maybe a series before that. I can tell you this, the contributions that he's made thus far and that he is about to make certainly in the next two games will be very significant and has been very significant. I recognize that we would not be in the position that we are in today if it had not been how Jarrett Lee played for us as quarterback. Our football team is obligated to him and we will do everything we can to fill that obligation."
On Jarrett Lee's playing time..."I think that there is a view in my mind of how the style of play needs to be played for victory. I think in this game that really spoke to me to be Jefferson. It is kind of how we as a staff decided to go really after we got into the game. I don't think the status has changed. I think it has changed the last couple of games only in the fact of how we play. It will be reviewed yet again as we go to the Georgia Dome."

The ineligible stuff is just stupid right now because Les wouldn't have played him at all if true. However, Lee needs to make up some ground this semester.

How does it work? If he's ineligible he can still take snaps at the end of the game?

I probably don't really even disagree with you on this subject, but I do have to ask:
Do you just search "Jarrett Lee" and go into every thread to knight for the guy?
I think he might be a little disturbed by the amount you obsess over defending him at every waking moment.
I don't ever see you post about anything or anyone else.

Pretty sure this style of play has spoken to Miles since Ole Miss 2008 game.

So what he is saying is there's a chance...
Too bad people keep on calling him General Lee, General Lee chokes in big battles ala gettyburgs. That's what happen in Tuscaloosa, he choked and so you needed someone that would stand and not worry about getting punched in the mouth. That man? Jefferson.

his eligibility through next week's game hasn't been in question. If Lee's time hasn't been affected by academic issues, Les would have just answered the question "no".

maybe you should click my name and do a post search, you know prove how wrong you are.
Funny though, you're always in those threads too, yet you call me out. Odd really....

Why are STILL avoiding my question???

Well im sure the gameplan was to run it down ARK throat so it makes sense.

He's not ineligible. Yet.
Final grades won't be posted until after the SECCG so he is eligible past that.
The BCSNCG is another story.

Actually I'm the foremost authority in the Tiger Nation on the translation of Miles-speak.

I wish Les wouldn't ramble about Lee like this. Jefferson's play has been great, and based on football alone, nobody should have a problem with Jefferson's play.
I just don't get why Les has to say stuff like "we would have liked to get Lee into the game earlier." Just stop, you are the one that decides it.
Miles wants Lee on the bench and that's where he is going to stay. Lee struggled in the most important game of the season, and Jefferson took over and Lee really hasn't been on the field much since.
Miles has a strange philosophy. Lee turns the ball over twice (terrible) and Miles makes the switch and keeps Lee on the bench. Ford fumble sixes to give Arkansas a 2 touchdown lead? Meh, I guess we don't have the running backs to put Ford on the bench.

I have 28,000+ posts. I'm in a lot of fricking threads.
BTW, doing a post search for you, specifically for this board (which is what I was referring to), yields results from 2 threads recently, this one and another one titled, "Academic Problems" which we all know what that is about...

Really? Care to take a journey back to LSU @ Alabama 2009? Jefferson medically cleared to go back into the game after being injured, but held himself out. Call bullshite all you want, but this was the echo of people on the sideline...AKA Jordy, etc.
This reason I just stated above, is the reason why I'm not a JJ guy.
Lee had no problem finding his guts that day.
Don't stand there and make the argument that Lee buckles under pressure or can't take the heat because it's not true. If that was the case, he would have folded like a cheap tent in Alabama 2009, Tennessee 2010, Florida 2010, Alabama 2010, and Oregon 2011.
He had a bad game...Period.
