largely agree with this. it is good for the best teams from each conference to face the best teams from other conferences at the end of the year... this happens so rarely during the year and in years like 2006 our assumptions about who was better can be completely revised

Good grief...I HAAAAAATE the idea of a playoff for D1 college football, but to suggest you could do it and have it set up so that no conference can have more than one participant is, well...madness. This would be like telling college basketball that the ACC can only have one team each...sucks to be Duke and UNC I guess!
Here's my fix...leave the current system as is and add the stipulation that in order to qualify for the BCSNCG your team must A) win it's conference and B) do so by virtue of a conference championship game thereby making all teams play 13 games instead of some playing 12 while others play 13.

If you weren't so obviously biased, I'd tell you to simply not tune in the BCS game. Take a walk. Plant a tree; just do something else. But you guys haven't gotten over the twin killings by Auburn and LSU, so your motivation to even show up here is clear. Be nice, and maybe we'll schedule you again in a year or two when your fan base has recovered.

Because apparently we have the ability to hand-select our opponent in the NCG, and he's mad that we've "picked" Bama.
