Arky is #16 in Punt Returns with
28 Returns for 358 yards with 3 TD's and 12.79 avg

Ole Miss is #1 with 11 Returns for 225 yards, 2 TD's and 20.45 avg

Other Notables;

#13 WVU 21/278/0/13.24

#18 Bama 34/419/1/12.32

#24 Miss St 23/260/2/11.30

#31 Oregon 28/300/2/10.71

I know I probably sound like a Bama fan with all the stat BS, but I hope this helps put the "Special Teams Battle" in perspective

Was the Adams Tenn return on a punt or a kick off?

That return wasn't about Adams skill so much as it was about extremely shitty arse tackling by Tenn.

My goodness check your stats. The reason their low is because 99% of the time they kick short resulting in GREAT Field Position. Question is will you kick to Joe and I bet the answer is NO. Here's his stats
Games 11
Returnsper game 1.5
Yards 259
Avg Yards/game 23.5
TDs 3

The strategy by most have been high and short forcing no return so not many shots but you screw up and he'll make you look stupid. No way your smack talking punter kicks a normal punt to Joe.

All those stats don't mean shite if we don't have to punt to them! Didn't help Ole Miss to be the #1 punt return team.

Impressive numbers, but it’s worth noting that two of these scores were against Missouri State in the first game of the year.

that's correct. The Tigers smack-talkin' punter NEVER kicks normal punts.

Have you watched Brad Wing punt any at all this year? He doesn't punt high and short. He's too skilled to be dumb enough to do that or kick directly to a return threat. Most of his punts have been corner coffin punts that die almost immediately after they hit the ground. He get's so much hang time on the ball that the gunners are usually waiting at the end to catch the punt right before it goes in the end zone. There's a reason why LSU has only given up 7 total punt return yards all year.

I'd heard 2 of their 3 punt return TDs came in the first game against SW Missouri State Poly Tech. Take out those 2 and where does Arkansas rank in punt returns?

Just so everyone knows, I was trying to show we have played other great Punt Return teams and have came out just fine.

In no way did I make any suggestion that Arky doesnt have a good Return game.

I'm not so worried about our punt return coverage as kickoff return coverage.

He also doesn't kick the ball right away. If you watch him he hesitates before he kicks which gives the punt team more time to get down the field before the ball arrives.

Hey your punter is great at dropping the ball where he wants to GREAT. That's why I bet his average is way down this game because:

1 If he out kicks his coverage Joe has the ability and Miles knows it. Goodness he's the AA just like Peterson was last year. You don't make that mistake.

2 If he kicks short your D by the stats is good enough to handle a little field position stress.

Bottom line he's tweeting he'll kick to him but I bet the mad hater shuts that down. Heck he already had to take his tweets down.
