It appears we may be headed for the Second Somewhat Annual Louisiana Restaurant Tournament. Each city plays as a conference with the top three of each guaranteed a seed. The other seven from the top ten fight for an at-large bid.

The meth trade has put a damper on the Bawcomville culinary scene. My top pick for there is a little south of town down Hwy 34 at Fuller's grocery. They make a fine non-soybean cheeseburger and have a top notch heat lamp. Assuming Fuller's is still open, I've not been in a while.

West Monroe I have at a tie between Johnny's Warren Dr and Johnny's Wallace Rd. If I was forced I'd give a slight edge to the Warren Dr location.

Monroe is a tough one. Here the culinary scene is much stronger due mostly to influences from the Rayville Sonic, which is only 22 miles away. There are a few places that come to mind when thinking in terms of best resturant(Johnny's McKeen, Johnny's Hwy 139, Melvin's, Waterfront, Sage, Warehouse ect.) But if I had to make one recomendation to an out-of-towner, it would be to hop on I-20 and head east 22 miles to the Rayvegas Sonic.

Could it qualify as being in the Greater Bawcomville/West Monroe/Monroe Metro area? If so, it's probably the leader.

At one time I would have said no Otis. But adavances in modern technology, namely Henry Ford's internal combustion engine and Eisenhower's US Interstate system, have drawn these metropolises together and provided the opportunity for thousands and hundreds of Ouachita parish residents to dine at the prestigious Rayvegas Sonic. I think not including it in this list would be a tragic disservice to both Americans and forigners from other nations.

Well then:
1)Restaurant Sage
2)Rayvegas Sonic
3)Johnnys(your favorite location)
4)The Warehouse/Mohawk Tavern(tie)
5)Waterfront Grill
6)BBQ West(your Favorite location)
7) Rawz Cafe/Casio's Italian Eatery(tie)
8)Magic Grill
9)Dylan's(per Geauxt)
10)Fuller's Grocery(per Mr Balls)

Probably the most diverse, best quality selection of regional and ethnic cuisine in our great state.

Damn right it is. I'd venture as far as saying the Bawcomville/West Monroe/Monroe/Rayvegas Sonic area is a beacon of light in an otherwise dismal Louisiana food scene. Take Paul Allen for instance. Look what dining in the wasteland below the Harmnon Johnson Rd has done to that poor fellow.

I gotta go with this as #1. Never been there, taking Mr Balls love of the place as gospel.

Can we have a top 10 for the Erath Greater Metro area?

I can chip in and provide a thread for The 10 Best Restaurants in the Mansfield/Zwolle/Pleasant Hill/Converse metroplex.

Minden is and forever will have the unfortunate distinction of being associated with Bossier.

Bernice?

One summer, while traversing to and fro to work in El Dorado, I funded the entire towns budget, arts and civic club and payed for several of deputy Fife's mules with my traffic citations. :csb:

We dont care about them. I care about Erath and Delcambre only.

Those restaurants north of I-10 aren't worth a damn.

...at least I think I heard someone mention that a while back.

Cormier's, Pickle Barrel, Pegees, Danken Trail, used to be good but its been a few years since I have eaten there. I know Pegees has new ownership now.
