5 years in the NFL is pretty significant. Not to mention Bledsoe's 29 was like 35 based on all the hits he took as a statue back there. His body was not in great shape.

Really? a QB who was 1/3 for 6 yards prior to taking over the injury was WAY better????

Who cares about the couple of snaps he had prior to being thrown in as the starter. Once he got in there, he was money. And the coaches and front office took notice. It's pretty obvious when one of the GOATs is out there.

Lee had proven he was better than people realize

I completely agree with this. But I don't think he's proven to be better than JJ.

Yeah Philip has taken Rivers out of discussion, no one wants that attitude starting. LSU should have made a play for Rodgers instead if we going with NFL QB's brothers....

Lee lost the job because he could not handle the pressure in the Ala game. Pure and simple. Jefferson went in and did not lose the game. He didn't win it by himself but he helped. Les has to go with what is best for the team. These are the facts.

Lee is still on the team and contributes. Some of you do need an intervention! I'm praying for you.

Best team ever

I think 03 was better

I respectfully disagree 100%.
I agree, this team is better.

Step back a minute and compare-- 03, a home loss to a down Fla team. Were it not for Skyler Green's punt return, we get shut out. This year- 41-11 we beat Fla.

03, brutal tight game at home against maybe #3 UGA. This year, brutal tight game on road against #2 Alabama.

This year, opened the season in a BCS matchup against #3 Oregon (the Cotton Bowl's audition to rejoin the big boys), and won convincingly. Have blown out every SEC team outside Alabama in historic fashion, including wiping the floor with the defending nat'l champs.

All national champ teams are great (and we haven't won anything yet this year), but this team has absolutely been the greatest I've ever seen.

Hey...let me try.

JL loses the starting position before the season starts to JJ.
JJ goes tard gets in a place he should not be and loses starting role to JL.
JL starts and wins.
JJ gets back on team.
JL starts and JJ slowly works in and gets some reps.
JL starts vs bama throws two pics and loses starting roll to the pre-season starter JJ.
JJ keeps winning as starter.

There. Simple.

Bledsoe had never missed a start prior.... the NE offensive line had done a great job protecting him until final two seasons when he took a combined 100 sacks.

As was Lee up until the Alabama game. I do think Lee should have been pulled during Alabama game.

Really it was obvious during Brady's first season he was the GOAT
Those 18 TD and 12 INT impressed you that much eh?

Considering the sample size this season is out of question. However, in previous seasons he has proven no worse than Jefferson. Jefferson adds a bit with his legs but has the same mental mistakes as Lee. They both make poor decisions and so far this season Lee had been great with decision making (until Alabama) and Jefferson has looked great, we haven't seen Jefferson enough to really know and WKU/Ole Miss are not a good test.

I'd love to see anyone argue with this logic.

You're crazy. People don't like JJ, the way the offense looked with him for 3 years, nor do they like the way Les is apparently shoving JL to the side to play "his son". No one is unhappy with winning, but with no explanation from the coach it looks and feels like favoritism, not JJ winning the job. I'm just glad the guy is gone next year and this becomes the past.

This years Florida team is a hell of a lot worse than that years Florida team as well

Just watching in person, I think that defense was better and the offense more effective especially at end of season. This defense/offense I will admit has more depth in it on both sides of the ball but that team was scary good.

I will say this, I wish Les would just come out and say, "Jefferson is the starter, I believe he gives the team the best chance to win. I appreciate what Lee has done for the team but he understands his roll." Not because it will change anything but because I hate "coach speak" where he is saying he will give both QB's a chance, etc. Plus I would like to watch the rant meltdown on those comments

Its argued with because it wasn't applied last year.

Whether or not you agree with it- it was much easier for Lee to lose his job this year than it was for JJ to lose his last year. And that is what some people take issue with, right or wrong.

Why would he make a definitive statement like that before a huge 3 game stretch to a national championship? I LOVE Les's coach speak. Keep em guessing and bitching Les. Only he and the team really know what's up.

this is completely irrational thought...your default assumption should be that the coaches make decisions they believe are 1)the right ones for the program and 2)that put the team in the best position to win. The decisions may not always work out, but you have no reason to doubt the underlying process that goes into making the decision. You're taking the default of "Miles is going to have to give me detailed proof before I believe he has the best interest of the team in mind when making decisions"

It was never Lee's job, ever. That's what everyone needs to realize.

Yes cause a statement like that would have hurt the team before WKU

Making the statement or not would not change a damn thing other than blow up the rant
