I'm just curious...Who here are Miles & JJ haters?

Why is it that when you discuss this situation, people absolutely force you into a pigeonhole, no matter what?

Why can't we all just admit that neither one is the type that you'd really be comfortable with going through our season with from beginning to end.

JJ and the offense as we like and all want to see it performing just will not mix. We've seen it for three years now, and we know how it goes. Not up for debate. He can execute the lateral running game and open up holes every now and again. We can move the chains with JJ, but not consistently. Every once in a blue moon, he'll shake off the stage fright and let a deep ball fly and we'll hit one.

His running ability stretches a defense and gives lots of folks-like myself-who love Mike Ford a chance to hit the edge and gash a team by turning it up the sideine. Which Lee at the helm simply cannot do.

Lee gives us some real balance. In that, I mean not only can we move the ball through the air or on the ground, but we can be explosive in both phases because of what he brings to the table.

I don't hate either of these guys. I think its obvious that our offense runs far better with Lee at QB than does JJ, but if Lee gets hit, he has a tendency to lose integrity in terms of his mechanics, and that creates dangerous opportunities for an opposing secondary when the ball is in the air.

In 2011, that's only happened once.

With JJ, we won't throw picks, we'll possess the ball some and we won't give the other team the ball back with INT's. But we won't throw it all that much, period. We definitely will only rarely get vertical against a defense with JJ. Yes, I do know that against UNC, TAMU, & the first play against WKU, he's gone deep with success. Three games in the past 23 isn't a trend, folks.

In other words, if we can't run it when JJ is in, then he's not gonna be able to pass it.

They are both imperfect answers at the QB position, but we need them both, and there's no question about it.

Bottom line: Anyone who says JJ needs to start isn't being rational, because our offense looks far more explosive, multiple, consistent, and efficient with Lee in there. JJ can still win games for you, but we are going to put far more pressure on Defense and Special Teams with him in the game.

Just the facts. I don't hate either. Just talking objectively & rationally.
