You are correct in that every coach makes mistakes.
But what some of you fail to realize is that Miles makes decisions on what he believes to be best for the team/program, and he makes those decisions with infinitely more information about the team/players and knowledge of the game than you will ever have.
So instead of people throwing temper tantrums like a 3 year old kid when he makes a decision they don't agree with, it would probably be more productive to have a rational discussion about why he made the decision.

So since we won its not ok to ask.
No, it's ok to ask. But you aren't going to get a straight answer. And if we're undefeated, that is going to be just fine.
quote:
However say we lose sat at om, is it ok to ask then? assuming it plays out like last night?
Yep, it would be perfectly fine to ask then because Les would have cost LSU everything if he didn't have a reasonable explanation.

FWIW, Im not owed anything.. but you can bet your arse If I were a reporter Id ask him monday at press conf until I got an answer.
And you would be attending your last press conference at LSU.

Do you mena to tell me that you arent in the least bit curious to why it went down like that last night at the qb position?
No, I was fricking pissed in the stands last night. Then, I got in the car and heard Hanagriff say that if Lee wants to play more, he needs to go to class more, and I accepted it as a perfectly reasonable explanation. Hanagriff is right about a lot of things. You should just accept this explanation and move on...nothing changes even if that explanation isn't the correct one.

I haven't kept up with the suspension thing, but if it's true Lee was suspended for the first half for skipping class, would that satisfy your curiosity?
And if that were true, you will also remember that Les, himself, never said anything specific about Tyranne, Ware, etc.

Let's have a big AMEN to that.

We're a unanimous #1, 10-0 and control our own destiny....and people are bitching about who the COACH is playing at QB and why.
WHO THE HELL CARES....
I almost feel like this is an example of you overlooking Arkansas. You don't care who we play at QB? Arkansas will probably be around #5 in the nation when we play them, and you don't think that who we play at QB is important? Also on that note, I don't think people would be reacting this same way if JJ had led us to 10-0. I think most of people's worry stems from the fact that Lee led us to 8-0 and then played poorly against Bama. Now we seem to be on track to completely change the formula that got us to where we are and many people are concerned that it may not be the best option for the team. That's why people care.

I'm thinking Les has better information and more football knowledge to make that decision than the assclowns on this board...if that makes me a homer, Oh well!
This seems to me like you are one of the ones who thinks any fan that disagrees with Les is an idiot. Did Les not have some huge clock management blunders over the last few years that have cost us games. The difference was we lost those games so it was ok to criticize him. Just because we haven't lost yet, doesn't mean Les isn't making mistakes. Are we only allowed to express concern after a loss?

So, are you suggesting there is some universe in which Miles is obligated to divulge this information to you? Perhaps he wishes to keep Lee's discipline private, which is his and the team's right.

Coaching infallibility based on salary. Without a doubt, THE most annoying concept on all of TD.
No one is claiming that Les's salary means he's infallible.
However, it's a valid argument...
The "market place" has determined that Les is worth 4,000,000 a year as a coach.
He's also not only survived in the toughest football conference in the country, he has thrived.
He's won a National championship and amassed the highest winning percentage of any coach is LSU history...along with many other accomplishments.
I like to think that these are "CLUES" that Les might know more about football and what is best for this team than those who complain for a living on the rant.
But hey, maybe I'm wrong....

Forget the fact of who you personally prefer... you dont want to know and you dont think its a relevant question to ask?
Seriously?
I'm not. Why is that so hard to comprehend? I find it impossible to comprehend your reasoning for wanting to know so badly.

I just dont understand the mysteriousness, secretivness, shadyness WTF ever you want to call it about qb play last night.
How about the fact that its a team matter and he is the head coach?
Oh and their is one other thing, honestly its none of any of our fricking business. Quiet analizing things and just sit back and enjoy the season.

I officially do not care who plays QB because our QBs are not asked to win games for us. I will care if one of them is on the field and playing like crap or hurting the team, and I'll hope they make the switch.

It just occurred to me that it really bothers some of you that I want to know the answer of why Lee didnt go more PT saturday.

I know one thing. Les has made all the right decisions this season. I feel it is entirely stupid to start questioning him now after a lackluster effort in a cupcake game.
It's...ugh. I need to leave this board.

So for those who saw Lee start all year and then Jefferson starts have no desire whatsoever of why it was done? You see from my perspective I'm not "demanding an explanation" as some keep throwing out there. I'm just curious. If Les said he did it just for the heck of it...just to try sometime different I'm fine with that.
