Ok, honest question: Would we be 10-0 if JJ had started the season?

I have to say, I'm just not convinced he'd have put up the kind of numbers JL had to this point. Maybe we'd still be where we are. Maybe not.
This is not a flame, nor a complaint. Honest to God, to me our offense just doesn't look as sharp the majority of the time when JJ is behind center, and he doesn't appear to be as sure of himself.
I'm prepared to be told that I'm wrong, but whatever. We didn't look incredibly sharp passing the ball against inferior competition last night, folks. I'm thankful we have a full stable of GREAT running backs.
Don't tell me about Lee VS Alabama. I doubt he'd look great against the Saints' defense, either. If JJ had thrown the ball against Bama, it would have likely still been a stalemate.
I still think we find a way to get through this season unscathed. But I am glad that the QB position started the season the way it did.
End of my thoughts on this.

Yes we would
Thank you for starting a thread that will turn into yet another JJ vs. JL argument

Yes.

I think JJ is the best fit against Arkansas, Ole Miss, UGA, and Bama and Ok State.
I think JLee is good at beating everyone else

1) That's impossible to know...

Yes. But only because JL would come in just about every game and bail JJ's arse out once again.

Yes!! Who would we have lost to? We beat every team by at least 10 except Bama and he played the whole game against Bama. JJ is a good quarterback. I respect and appreciate everything JL has done but I think JJ gives us a better chance to win out.

I think he could have. There were several 3rd downs where JJ would have picked it up on feet and Lee didn't. Of course there would be several in the reverse order so I think its a wash.

I know we would be 9-1 if he didn't play last week.

Why waste a minute of anyone's time thinking about the "what ifs". JJ didn't start the season. Tigers are 10-0 and unanimous No. 1.
Go to Hell Ole Miss!

That's not my intention.
I think they both bring a lot to the table, and each does something better than the other.
Now let me say this: IF starting JJ against WKU had something to do with Lee's performance against Bama- that is flat out wrong. But I have faith in Les, and will assume it did not- because after what he's done the rest of the season, that would truly be a shame.

No you don't. You THINK that. There is no way of knowing.
Lee could have made one big throw last week, that led to a TD in the 4th and that would of been enough to win. You don't know that wouldn't of happened. He's done it before.

You couldn't be more wrong concerning Arky and OK.ST.

The reason the offense looks less sharp with JJ is he waits forever while the play develops and has a hard time finding open recievers, yet he arm is strong. His dual threat is good, but every time he starts to run, I see where the hole is, but he goes elsewhere. When he should run he takes a sack.
On the other hand if JL gets hit, he is done. Georgia has big time DEs and lber's. They will bring just as much pressure. JJ will be needed if we make it to the seccg.
Arkansas JL would be a good fit.
I mean, miles will do the best with what we have

We all have an opinion, which is why this forum is what it is.
I personally think we beat every team by at least 10 and JL had something to do with it. So I won't automatically assume the same would of happened.
My preference- Lee 65 or 70 percent, JJ 35 or 30 percent. Just my opinion. But beyond that, just win the games, with either guy.

but you have to admit, the hype machine leading up to the opener (before Shady's) would lead us to believe this.
Jordan Jefferson was being hailed as a Dark Horse Heisman candidate and getting all kinds of ESPN exposure.
I really want to see how well he does in the remaining games because it would be an additional sample of Steve Kragthorpe's QB coaching and refining skills (I think Lee owes his #s to Krags).

BS. :
For what ever reason Miles forgot who saved his arse while jj left the Tigers to fend for themselves before the season started. JL stepped up big time and he is much, much smarter than jj!

Or just like we did vs Fla, tenn and Au?
We beat the hell out of those 3 teams.
Im pretty certian thats why many of us are sractching our heads on the recent "change" and that change continuing this point forward.
Its a legit concern, that may not even happen.
Who knows?
