That was a stupid playcall, but it will definitely provide Krags with a teaching point. JJ lost his composure there.

The Bama game was clearly the reminder of this.

This stuff is silly. There are QB controversies ALL THE TIME in the world and each time, both sides strongly advocate for their guy. But let one of them be black and you can reliably expect some moron to start a thread implying that everyone who prefers the white guy is racist.

frick that.

I don't think it's so much rampant racism as just people who can't see the forest for the trees. Now, there are a few posters here who I do believe are racist in their decision.

JJ can't find his receivers, and he rarely throws the ball where it should be thrown. The pass to Shep that was incomplete is a perfect example (close but too long). But the main thing is that the offense rarely performs at the level it is capable with JJ in the game. Last night looked like 2009 and 2010 all over again.

That safety last night sums up JJ for me.

I don't think it is so much JJ, but the play calling he is put into. Who runs a deep route out of their own end zone on 3rd and long? The play wasn't there and he did nothing to make an adjustment.

Would Lee have done anything differently? Who knows, but you can't get past the idea that the LSU O has taken a step backwards.

ETA: With that said, this team is 10-0 and has a chance to do something special. I want all the Tigers to succeed and play well including JJ.

Lacour Plain and simple, why do some of you have such a issue with JJ? It boggles the mind. Take out perceived injustice to Lee. Take out the bar because you hated him before that. What did the guy do to make some of you so butthurt?
the level of butthurt is really unusual. I actually feel for the guy at senior day. These dumbasses have made it personal and it's really sad. Hes a hero one week and cursed the next even in victory.

Les has totally ruined lee's confidence. The kid is wrecked over not starting or going in later. This will come back to bite us when we need lee to step up.

His biggest flaw was exposed on the sack - decision making pre and post snap.

He goes to the line of scrimmage and has one receiver split to the left. He sees a corner on him and the FS shifts to that side of the field to offer support. In his mind he has to be thinking double coverage. Maybe he wasn't. He takes the snap, turns and looks at the receiver running his route. It looks as if he is standing there with the ball in the end zone waiting for the receiver to break free, when in fact the FS is getting even closer. He keeps waiting and waiting and then time is up....he is in the grasp of a defender. He then intentionally grounds the ball. 2 pts. WK

Options (in rank order).

1. Get to the line of scrimmage, see the double coverage on the receiver and check off.....anything, basic handoff to the fullback.....QB sneak, anything.
2. Take the snap, see the receiver covered (he ain't going to get open so quit looking at him). Throw the ball away.
3. Last resort. Take the snap, see the receiver covered, run like hell.

I follow a few people filled with JJ hate just for my own amusement. Some nascar loving redneck casino worker from LC spent all game sending messages to all of LSU sites and several writers that Les has no class and he hopes LSU would lose because he started.

OR............

How about the idiot upstairs calling the plays NOT call a pass play with ONLY ONE WR while we are on our goal line on 3rd and long, an obvious passing situation that even a high school defense could possibly get a stop.

The problem was not JJ it was the play from the very dam beginning. Who in their right mind calls that???

I thought JJ gave LSU the best shot at winning until I saw the response of the offense under JL. Its nothing personal against JJ. A large percentage of the fanbase is wondering why Miles would continue to bench Lee for his two ints while at the same time turn the other cheek while Jefferson was taking sacks or escaping with a safety against Western Kentucky.

JJ as starter with majority of snaps and Lee used sparingly equals 2010 lethargic underachieving offense.

Lee as starter with majority of snaps and JJ used as change of pace (or not at all for 4 games) equals potent offense, #1 ranking and undefeated through 9 games.

BAMA was a game where JJ's ability made it necessary for him to run the show and Lee had an awful game. No issues with JJ stepping up...it's what he is supposed to do and he did.

It's a decent call if you have your receiver in man coverage. If the FS plays run we potentially have a receiver running wide open in the secondary. Not saying I love the call, but that is why you allow the QB to check off. When JJ gets to the line he sees that ain't the case. Check off and nobody knows a pass play was even called. Playing calling like a chess match. We were looking to pull one on WK, but they didn't bite. At that point, go conservative with a safe play that you check into.

No but I talked to someone close to him. He was very upset when he found he was not starting on Friday. He was also visibly defeated when les held him out for the third possession.
