Does anyone else remember other SEC fans saying they were glad Les Miles stayed at LSU and didn't go to Michigan? That he was a joke and an idiot. Playing LSU was going to be no problem with Les Miles there. I wonder if they all still feel that way?

I thought bama fans were suppose to put up money to keep les in baton rouge. I wonder if the checks showed up on campus.

I have a bunch of friends on the Ms. gulf coast that are huge Bama fans. They beat this into the ground with me. That's what some of them said, Bama's paying good money to keep Les at LSU. Well on behalf of Les Miles, how do you like me now!

Kind of.

He's 5-2 against Bama

He's 3-3 against Arky (they're the only ones who can be happy about it)

He's 5-2 against Auburn

He's 4-3 against Florida

He's 1-2 against UGA (but he's 1-0 since he turned down the Michigan job the first time)

He's 2-1 against Kentucky (but undefeated in regulation)

He's 7-0 against Mississippi State (Maybe that's why I never bear them any ill will - great guys - if they'd ditch the cowbells they'd be my second favorite team)

He's 4-2 against Ole Miss

He's 2-0 against USCe

He's 4-1 against Tennessee (the rest of LSU history, combined is 5-19-3)

He's 3-0 against Vandy

And, throw in 1-0 against aTm for good measure.

(And 4 of the 7 losses to Bama, Auburn and Florida were to the eventual BCS champ).

If I am not mistaken he is also the only coach to beat Florida, Alabama, and auburn in two different seasons. Has saban done that?

They are still around. Lurking and hoping for a reason to climb back out of their little rat holes.

Once, though he can't beat Bama when he is coaching there, then again maybe he could

This sums it up! We joke about Les and say "fear the hat", but now everyone we say it to isn't taking it as a joke.

If you listen to Alabama fans he did it this season.

Yeah that is extremely funny but it was a somewhat valid point up until this season began. He has done extremely well in all aspects of game management this year...(by the way...my Brandon Bulldogs are coming to town tomorrow night to have their way with Ocean Springs! Geaux Dawgs!)

True. It'd be fun to start a call out thread for the worst offenders from seasons past, if I had more time to search back.

He's done it three times now: 2005, 2007 and 2011. In 2005, Auburn was coming off their unbeaten season and we beat an unbeaten Bama team on the road. In 2007, Florida was defending national champs, and we beat Bama on the road after a 6-1 start. In 2011, Auburn was defending national champs and we know what happened at Bama.
