I doubt kids will be pulling out the Rand McNally mileage charts, texasaggie. But point taken.
I do think losing the Texas series harms A&M recruiting more than it does Texas. FWIW.
Hey, I'll be a casual A&M fan in the SEC eventually. It's still Texas vs. the world. We can agree on that.

As to losing the Texas game, and its impact on us both.....if a kid is coming to A&M and lists that game as one of his prime reasons, it is likely because he grew up liking A&M and hating UT. Same applies to the UT commit who grew up hating A&M.
That kid isn't going to turn away from A&M just because the game is (temporarily) discontinued....Especially if we begin to play LSU on TG weekend which has been widely speculated upon.
I don't think UT gains anything by playing Tech on Thanksgiving, other than "sticking it to A&M". Say what you want about A&Ms UT obsession (it is true for some Aggies), but we won't be looking longingly at UT playing Tech in Lubbock on TG while were playing LSU.
