Hey Mizzou fans had a quick question. I saw on one of our boards this morning that you have had two decommits this week from TX players. One being Simon Goines and I am unsure of the other but just read that there were two.

Would you guys say this is more because of the fact that they wanted to play in the Big 12 or because of the Missouri season not going as well as expected?

Personally, I wouldn't think it was the season results as most knew this would be a rebuilding year for Mizzou with breaking in a very young QB and all. It just seems to fast to me though to be jumping ship this quickly without a thought considering you are joining a better conference than the Big 12.

If a player is worried about Mommy not getting to see him play enough, and worried about playing in a tougher conference, you probably don't want him on your team.

Just saying....

If you're A&M's cross-rival, you play in Texas every other year, so it doesn't go away completely. So fill in the gaps left from Texas kids with kids from Florida and Georgia, where you'll play every other year. Arkansas gets the most flack for "losing Texas" when they went to the SEC, and they seem to be doing ok now.

Arky's pipeline was reduced when they bailed too.. Maybe it's recovered some but there are a ton of hog alumni in the DFW area so it's a different dynamic.

TX recruits going to some place like Mizzou or Nebraska still felt at "home" somewhat since there would be many trips back to TX over their career.

Interesting to see how this plays out with A&M.

And this is a very naive statement, talking about 18 year old kids leaving home for the first time.

Aaron Curry a 3 star DT from Keller Texas.

Goines and Curry left this week after the announcement.

A 3rd Texas recruit Geramine Ifedi Decommitted not long after the announcement was released accidentally a week or so ago and commited to Texas A&M.

It's also been rumored since the announcement that Jonathon Williams a 4 star RB from Allen Texas is wavering on his commitment now. Evan Boehm a 4 star OL from Lee Summit Mo. has decommitted but since heard he's angry about the rumors and says they aren't true. In the case of Boehm it would be because he is from KC.

Mizzou Texas pipeline is going to dry up quick. Book it. This is the only reason they were somewhat competitive the last few years. They are going to be a bottom feeder in the SEC in football forever. A&M is in a much better situation besides having to play in the West, but the East will be back soon.
