He is the drive-by shooter of sports journalism. Nothing more. All he does is stir things up. It was funny, though, to listen to his Monday show. He talked about everything BUT the game for almost an hour (stirring the pot), then finally started taking cals and discussing the game.

He actually dissed on Saban and blamed Saban for the loss. He also put many Bama rantards in their place and shot them down, giving LSU credit for the win.

How does a college football fan, especially a SEC fan not know who finebaum is?

I listened to his show on the drive in to T-Town fri afternoon. He was bashing miles as a grass eating, booger picking doofus, and Saban was the much better coach. I doubt that perception has changed but on his show mon he did credit Miles, and put some Bammers in their place

A witless hack sportswriter and shock jock on Alabama sports talk radio and newspaper/website. His schtick is to say outrageous shite to piss off listeners, who then call in and vent about it and make themselves look stupid. He alternates between pro-Bama and pro-Auburn to play those fan bases against each other, but is consistently and uniformly anti-LSU and anti-Miles, in the extreme. He's basically the role model for Glen Guilbeau, but better at it than Guilbeau is.

Why do I keeping seeing his name [on the rant]?

Because for reasons known only to God and themselves, some LSU fans [and message board administrators, apparently] feel the need to help people whose sole purpose is to tear down LSU and Miles by listening to them on the radio, linking and clicking on their articles, etc. Each time someone clicks a link to one of their articles, or the webcast of their radio shows, etc., they generate traffic for these assholes, which = money in their employers' pockets, which = job security and more money for these shite-stirrers.

Is he an important figure?

Only to the extent that the morons who pay attention to him think he is.

Is there anything I need to know about the guy?

No more than what's written above.

As soon as Bama hired Sabam he felt his mission was to attack LSU and Miles. He has thrown horrible insults at the people of Louisiana and LSU. He knew Miles would be the biggest threat to Bama dominating the SEC. he was right about that. He is pond scum.

I live in Bama and gumps love him. He sucks saban's dick every Tuesday.

I hope someone sends him a link to this thread. It will be great entertainment if he gets pissed off and goes off on a rant and mentions TigerDroppings on his show. Lol..

Seems LSU, Bama and Auburn fans have some obsession with him, which makes him famous and gets him on ESPN. Otherwise, no one would know about him.

I first heard of him a few years ago while driving through Tuscaloosa/Birmingham on the way back to Ohio. It was right about the time Saban hired on with Alabama. Gumps were calling in about to shite their pants with excitement. An LSU fan called in to alert them that Saban had his flaws and was nothing to idolize, and Finebaum made an arse out of him. I was pissed, but hooked. Started listening to him on the net, especially when LSU makes him look like an arse or eat his words. He's just something to listen to in the background while working. That and the fact that Bama fans are hilariously ignorant.

He is the Voice of Alabama football. Kind of like how Jim Hawthorne is for LSU.

I disagree, Hawthorne may be the voice of LSU football, but he is not similar to Finebaum.

Hawthorne does not exploit the LSU fan base on national radio everyday. He never plays with the unstable emotions of the most ignorant and un-educated LSU fans.

Finebaum's show gives the state of Alabama a very bad image. He doesn't give a shite though, all he cares about is ratings and money.

I think Hawthorne is above this.
