1.What was the loudest stadium or place you ever played in that you remember?

2. What was the most hostile environment your team ever played in?

3. What was your favorite place to visit that you would honestly missed?

Nebraska last year was the loudest I have ever been a part of. 90k people, 30k students, a defensive struggle, and the yells even drowned out the 12th Man tv.

tu in 09 was incredibly loud too. People were much more rowdy, but there was a lot of deflating big plays.

Hostile environment? OU and tu are the only road games I've been to. tu has been embarrassingly quiet every time. Norman... sort of loud, no where near Kyle, but I haven't ever witness a close game, they just pound us every time I've been.

As gay as the yell leaders are, and the utter ****ry I have to deal with because of their existence, they still do an incredible job keeping the students in to yells. The 12th Man tv ruins it a lot though.

1. I'm going to assume you're talking about road venues--lots of folks think their home venue is loud, but it's hard to be objective about that (and I personally think your impression of volume depends somewhat on where you are sitting). I would have to say that for sheer volume, it's hard to beat a dome--I seem the recall the Alamodome as really amplifying sound, moreso than Jerryworld or the Superdome.

2. Most hostile environment for A&M was always Lubbock. They like the throw things (Colorado fans were that way too) and, when Leach was the coach their, really had a chip on their shoulder and went out of their way to be jerks. Shoving the goal post up into the visitor's section like a scythe was a nice touch. Not as bad as it once was now that Leach is no longer egging them on.

3. Lincoln, hands down. Freindly folks and a good football environment. Of course, we were blessed to have good weather every time we went up there--I think it was 80 degrees every time, and we either played them in late October or November.

1. College campus: Oklahoma, Any stadium: Arrowhead Stadium 2007. The stakes were extremely high and it was an even split down the 50 yardline. Both fanbases were crazy loud

2. In history I'd have to go with 1978 at Ohio State... that is until they warned the crowd to quiet down or get a penalty

3. I'll have to go with Ames, IA definitely. All the fans were so hospitable, decent stadium, and wasn't on the other side of the world. Nice people up there.

Kyle Field against Nebraska in 1998. I couldn't hear my own voice.

Texas Tech due to the fans throwing batteries, urine, alcohol, and all sorts of goodies at us. Not to mention the infamous goalpost incident of 2001.

Lincoln, Nebraska.

I know I do not fit the OP request but I liked the topic.

1) Loudest
On the field tie - LSU/Auburn/Bama, there is a point at which degree of loud can no longer be distinguished

In the stands depends on where you sit but I will go with LSU in general or BDS if you are lower bowl on the sides - BDS upper deck endzones you just do not hear the loudness or feel the energy as well.

2) Hostile - most say LSU but I never experienced that. TN then the swamp. - Most will not experience the TN hate like ALA vs TN - that hate goes back 100 years.

3) Favorite - other than BDS, no question LSU fun times and great people so long as you understand the way they taunt and instead of bristle at it just join them and have fun. Once you join them at their table they will fight their own for you cause you are now a friend.

A&M/Nebraska at Kyle Field last year. Largest crowd ever at Kyle, largest number of students (30,005) to ever see a college football game. Vintage battle between the Wrecking Crew and the Blackshirts. Final score was 9-6. Never seen or heard Kyle that loud.

Honorable mention: 2006 Corps Classic between Texas A&M and Army at the Alamodome my freshman year. Game ended on a goalline stand by the Aggie defense as time expired. An above poster mentioned how San Antonio's Alamodome seemed to amplify sound better than, say, Jerryworld, and I have to agree--thought the roof was gonna blow off that damn place.

Lubbock, Texas. Batteries thrown, tortillas and obcenities abundantly hurled, armed police escort for the Aggie Band, and goalposts shoved into the visitor's section. I don't know what's in the water in west Texas, but them folks are insane.

Nebraska. Best, most cordial fans in the nation.

1. Memorial Stadium - Nebraska
2. Kansas before the game was moved to KC. A lot of hate in that rivalry. Shame it might be over
3. Lincoln Nebraska. I've been several times and it was almost always a good time.

Side note - If kansas refuses to continue to the rivalry Mizzou still wants a game in KC and may talk to Nebraska about reviving the series with the Huskers as a neutral site game at Arrowhead. It'd be a fun game that would draw plenty of national attention. If the SEC only goes with an 8 game conference schedule I think this is even more likely.
