I think JoePa is going down with 50 years of work tarnished.

Didn't he say he turned it over to the administration when he found out about it?
Posted on 11/7/11 at 11:44 am to hendersonshands
He should have turned it over to the police. The dude was fricking 10 year olds.

So if a crime occurs and you're a football coach, you contact administration officials and not the fricking police? Give me a break. What a slime ball

As more people read this, it will become the biggest sports scandal ever. It appears that an entire organization protected a predator.

This is just disgusting. It will be an unbelievable downfall IMO.
Can you imagine the biographical profiles if this all pans out? I mean he will go from probably the most respected coach in college sports to disgraced and quite frankly, a really shitty person.

I can't imagine, as a human being, walking in on a man having sex with a child and NOT ripping the guys head off his body...much less just turning around and walking out without saying anything. He's a pathetic excuse of a man, and that's putting it kindly.

It really is. By all indications it seemed like Paterno was a relic of a by gone era of college sports being about character and student athletes rather than buying players and an NFL minor league. This completely destroys that persona. Its funny..a lot of people thought he was hanging on for his legacy and record compared to bowden and it appeared that JoePa had won that argument. This changes all of that.
ETA I havent been able to keep up with all of it....HE WALKED IN ON THEM AND DIDNT STOP IT?!?!?! What a terrible human being...he deserves having this uncovered

I haven't seen where it was him that walked in on them. By all indications it appears that a grad assistant claims to have walked in on him and then called JoPa who claims he reported it to the administration. To most of us, that is not enough being that JoPa basically is the administration and everyone else in the world would have called the police.
Smells like a cover up.

Guess it's a good thing that didn't happen then.

According to this press conference, no one even bothered to find out who this child was. They just asked the victim to come forward and contact police.
This is absolutely mindblowing how Calous the admin was to this whole event.

I can't imagine this happening and not going to the police. Not school authorities, the police.
Posted on 11/7/11 at 12:20 pm to RogerTheShrubber
Its like they treated it as a routine speeding ticket or something.
Very fricking odd

And Paterno AND the grad asst. (used to be a qb there, believe he is now an asst. coach) NOT following up on it?
