No chance

There is a VERY good chance of this. If OU beats Okie St. they would jump Bama.

I don't see why Chokelahoma should get the benefit of the doubt over Alabama.

In fact, Bama deserves to get in over a 0 loss Okie State or Stanford team but that won't happen b/c the system sucks.

Boise State getting in over Alabama is a joke.

Alabama is much stronger in the human polls than Oklahoma and that's because because the quality of their loss is so much better. Oklahoma will have its work cut out jumping Alabama.

i'm pretty sure it's been the case for a few years. if both human polls have the same 1 & 2, but the BCS is different, they go with the human polls.
False. That's usually the case since the polls make up 2/3 of the BCS calculation. The problem for Boise is that they are hurting in the computer polls, which isn't going to improve.

All they did was give more weight to the human polls to make it less likely that the final BCS ranking wouldn't match the human polls. If they did what you're talking about, there would be no need to have the computers as part of the formula at all.

Beating a #2 okie st. team ON THE ROAD will speak huge volumes for OU.

They aren't hurting yet in the computers. Right now, it's the humans who are hurting them, not the computers. The computers have them ranked higher than Stanford and tied with Alabama at #4.

True, but 4th in the computers isn't going to get them to #2 in the BCS. And their computer ranking isn't going to improve...

These teams will improve their computer score IMO:
Winner of Stanford vs Oregon
Winner of Ok State vs Oklahoma - Okla is tied with Boise in the computers at 4th
Bama playing Auburn (which the computers LOVE for some odd reason)

Those 2 winners + Bama will end up higher in the computers than Boise.

Also, Boise's last game vs New Mexico is going to hurt, especially if New Mexico doesn't win a game this year.

People are overestimating how much voters re-evaluate or their shennanigans at the end. This isn't the AP we're talking about...this is the stodgy coaches and the Harris.

2006 Florida was already #4 with Michigan being #3...and only 40 points separated them. When USC lost as #2, the voters bumped Florida up a little to overtake Michigan by 24 points and the computers took care of the rest to ensure #2 BCS status.

If Bama is #4 right now and Stanford and Okie State lose...only Oklahoma has shot if they destroy Okie State. Oregon and Boise have no shot. It's either OU or Bama. Rematch is a distinct possibility.

This is exactly how I see it too regardless of what is "right".

The funny thing will be that the computers are set up to offset the human biases of the polls but to avoid a rematch the human polls will have to purposely drop Bama much lower than the objectively deserve to "re-offset" the computers.

It may well happen but it will be awkward to say the least. Almost impossibly awkward if one of Oklahoma or Okla St were to also lose to anyone else.
