I realize Catholic lost, but Landon Collins gets owned by a 175 lb. back.

Was somebody controlling that guy with a gamepad and pressed the right analog up?

Yea, that was pretty bad form tackling by Landon right there.

Looks like we had a liar the other night. Someone said Collins was off balance and falling already. Not the case...straight up got trucked on that play. I was anticipating Collins being a fiercer hitter instead of a "break down and hang on" type of tackler.

I was at the game and watched Collins after the play. He ran up to the back and shook his hand. I thought that was pretty classy. I have watched Collins his whole high school career. He has tackled much heavier backs and came out on top. I think he just underestimated this young man. I feel pretty sure if it would have happened again the result would not have been the same.

It's a simple matter of physics. Two objects collided, and energy was transferred. The running back had more kinetic energy due to his greater velocity at impact, and the running back hit Collins with enough force to cause Collins' center of gravity to move to where it became unstable and Collins was knocked down. It happens all the time in football games that smaller players will knock over larger players when they get better leverage, or are moving at greater speed.

Wow... on one play people make assumptions on LC. This is the same pervasive attitude taken by douchebag bama fans.

You guys sound just like the butthurt Bama fans. Landon Collins is a winner. If he goes to Bama it doesn't make him any worse of a person (or better) for that matter.

He's young but it sounds like he has support personnel at Alabama. IMO, our coaches, program, facilities are equal to theirs. We even will have a better team this year and next for sure. Given these qualities with the ability to school in your own backyard is not enough then good luck to him. LSU definitely needs him, but we've lost superstars like Trevon Reed & Greg Robinson to AU. We've lost Bradley Slyve and Kenny Bell to UAt. We lost Janzen Jackson to UT... etc

None of those guys have amounted anything so far. They are still young but it doesn't look promising. Nick Saban has a terrible track record with LA athletes as far as development. Maybe Collins will be THAT GUY for Nick, maybe not. Either way, the kid seems Hell bound for Bama. Let him go, wish him luck but please don't flame him. He's done nothing to hurt or program.
