Does Saban have the balls to leave Reuben single covered?

I know Saban usually shows a lot of confidence in his corners but if he he is smart he will probably double Reuben almost all game.

I don't think they'll be able to play 8 in the box against the run because Reuben has emerged as such a deep threat that he simply can't be ignored or guarded 1 on 1.

Saban will play 2 deep zone base until the he can not stop the run. As we know , he will blitz but will have help over the top with RR. Peterson, Shepard and OBJ will have to make some plays.

he wont have to because he thinks his LBs can provide enough run support...

He will roll the safety to bracket RR2....

Yes, yes he does.

I believe it will not bode well for him though.

One would have to believe that RR would NOT be single covered. It was illustrated last week twice what happens if you do.

I think that's going to be the strategy. Reuben torched them last year.

They're not going to let Reuben beat them this year. I think he is double covered on every play.

Other WRs are going to need to step up. I'd expect to see a couple of those quick outs to get the ball in the hands of guys quickly.

Probably some stuff over the middle to the TEs as well.

i think he'll get help from the safety, which raises the question: does Miles have the balls to let Lee throw into the middle of the field?

I think they will force us to throw. If we can they will change their gameplan. If Reuben has a big day we will win, because he will open up the run game when they can't load the box anymore

You can bet your arse there will be a safety almost all game helping with RR.

After BOTH QBs hit him on streaks vs AUB (i know, AUB sucks), it's fresh in his mind.

Plus the fact that Randle is a TOP SEC WR at this point in the season numbers wise.

OBJ, Shep, DP, Clement coming out party.

Saban knows he will not be able to bring 8 in the box. You damn right he's going to keep a safety deep on Randle. This will open up those quick screen passes to Shepard and Beckham. Once he starts bringing in his safeties, it's game over, we're going to hit Randle on single coverage.

If Stud can get into a play calling groove, we can move the ball on these guys.

Should be a really interesting chess match.

they'll double RR all night. also, DreK. has a tendency / just sometimes, to let guys get behind him. great corner though. just sayin.

The intermediate game will be critical. Properly mixing runs, play action, and the occasional deep ball can open up opportunities for skill position players in the slot to exploit.

Interesting. I think Randle is one of those guys that sneaks up on people because he is much faster than he looks.
